Just to let you guys know, I'm gonna have Lily sing a song by FOB in this chapter so if you know it then yeah. Plus I'm obsessed with FOB and I'm literally listening to them rn. God I'm weird. Anyway, enjoy

Lily's POV

"Hello Lily. I'm defective Valencia. I'm gonna talk about what happened with your mother and step father." He said.

I nodded and set my hands on the table.

"So what is your mother's name?"

"Angela." I said.

"Step father?"

"Derek."

He nodded and then sat down.

"So how long have they been, abusing you?" He asked.

"Ever since my dad died when I was about 7." I responded quietly.

"What all have they done to you?" He asked.

"My mom has only hit me a few times, but she verbally abused me a lot." I said.

"What all has she said?"

"She tells me I'm the reason my dad died, and that I'm trash and that I'm a slut. She says a lot more but those are the ones that hurt me the most."

"And what has your step father done to you?"

"He has beaten me. So many times. Sometimes he gets drunk and beats me. He's beaten me to the point a few times that I've blacked out. Just a few weeks ago he slammed my head against our wall, which is pretty much concrete, and I was in a coma for a week." I explained.

He wrote all this down in a notebook as I let a tear fall.

"I heard that while you were in the Storage unit, he raped you. Is that true?" He asked.

"Rape is a strong word. But, yes." I sighed.

He nodded before he closed his notebook and looked at me.

"Thank you Ms. Jacobson." He said before smiling and shaking my hand.

He left the room and I was sat there just thinking of everything I said.

"The door is unlocked. You may now leave." Someone said.

I stood up and walked out the door and saw Gabe looking nervous. When he saw me, he sighed a sigh of relief and hugged me.

"You okay?" He asked.

"I was only being questioned." I giggled.

"I know, but I know you talked about personal stuff. So are you okay emotionally?" He asked.

I nodded and smiled. We walked hand in hand out of the police station and we got into his car.

"So little miss Lily." He said and I looked at him with a 'did you really say that?' look and he laughed.

"I haven't heard you sing in a while. Do you wanna sing me a song when we get home?" He asked.

"I don't know. I've never sang in front of someone before." I said.

He looked at me with a sad face.

"Ugh fine. But only once." I said.

"Deal." He said before I kissed his cheek.

I actually felt the need to sing right now. So I plugged in my phone and played 'I'm Like a Lawyer The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You)" by Fall Out Boy.

Last year's wishes, are this year's apologies. Every last time I come home, I take my last chance to burn a bridge or two. I only keep myself this sick in the head, cause I know how the words get you (off)

We're the new face of failure. Prettier and younger but not any better off. Bulletproof loneliness. At best, at best.

Me and you, setting in a honeymoon. If I woke up next to you, if I woke up next to you.

Me and you, setting in a honeymoon. If I woke you next to you, if I woke up next to you.

I sang the rest of the song and when it ended, I smiled and then unplugged my phone.

"Lily. You're amazing!" Gabe said.

I blushed and bit my lip.

He parked the car in the driveway, and before I could get out, he gently grabbed my arm.

"Lily, you're an amazing singer." He said.

I looked in his eyes and smiled. He then placed his lips on mine and our lips moved perfectly in sync.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I said.

Just a short chapter but yeah, here is this. And thank you all so much for 3K. This book is growing faster than I thought. Love ya lovelies
