Chapter 9

Gabriel's POV

"Louis I'm telling you. I'm really into this girl." I told him.

"I mean we kissed yesterday." I said scratching the back of my neck.

"Dude. If you kissed her, than you should make it official!" He said.

I nodded my head.

"I mean, Lily just, I don't know man. She's beautiful, kind, caring, and she shouldn't have to deal with all of the pain she's going through." I said nervously.

"Wow. I've never seen you like this before. Especially about a girl." Louis said.

"I know. When I saw what happened the other day, and when I saw what she did to herself yesterday, I mean, my heart shattered into a million pieces." I said.

"Gabe. Are you not listening?" Louis said.

I looked at him and he looked at me seriously.

"Make it official!" He said shaking me.

I bit my lip and Louis stopped shaking me.

"When?" I asked.

"Tomorrow." He said.

I nodded and turned on the TV while Louis and I ate Dunkin Donuts.

Next Day

Lily's POV

I was laying in bed reading a book when I heard a tap on my window.

I lookee over amd saw Gabe. I instantly smiled and went over to open the window.

"Hey." I said smiling.

"Hey." He said looking nervous.

Why was he acting nervous? Did I do something?

I shrugged it off and put my book on my bookshelf.

"What were you reading?" He asked smiling at me.

"Paper Towns." I said,

"Nice." He said shrugging his shoulders.

"Gabe. What's wrong?" I asked him.

"Okay." He said after sighing.

I looked at him confused and he looked at me sadly.

"Lily. I don't think we can be friends anymore." He said.

My heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach and felt like it was gonna fall out my butt.

"W-what?" I stuttered holding back my tears.

"It doesn't feel right anymore Lily. I mean it felt nice, but not anymore." He said.

I bit my lip to keep from crying.

"So now that we're not friends anymore, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

I looked at him in shock. He had the biggest smile on his face.

"Damn Gabriel. You scared me half to death!" I said grabbing my chest.

"I take that as a yes?" He said.

"Yes." I said after a long pause.

He smiled before hugging me and spinning me around as I giggled.

He set me down and gently pecked my lips.

"Did I really scare you?" He asked putting his arms around my waist.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and nodded.

"Yeah. Like I almost started crying I was so scared." I said.

He chuckled before looking at me.

"I would never do that to you Lily." He said.

I bit my lip and smiled at him.
