7 years ago:

"Thanks Barbara," Alexia said as she admired her new haircut in the mirror. "Your welcome dear," her hair dresser Barbara said as she rang up the total in the cash register. Alexia paid and left the salon. She decided to take her time going home. She had just stopped to admire a dress in a window of a shop when she heard a noise coming from the alleyway. "Hello?" Alexia asked peering into the alley. "Help," cried a frail voice. "Hold on, I'm coming," Alexia said before she took off down the alley. Alexia made her way down the alley, looking behind garbage cans and piles of trash. When she saw no one, she started her way out of the alley. "Where do you think your going?" asked a snarled voice. Startled, Alexis stopped and turned around but she saw no one. She turned around but bumped right into a man. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said as she moved to get out of the way. "Don't be," he snarled as he grabbed her from behind. The man yanked a blindfold and rope out of his coat pocket. "Scream and I'll kill you,".

Present Day:

Alecia took in a deep breath. She squinted her eyes but could see nothing in the dark room. "Hello my dear, I thought you could use a drink," said her captor. Alexia said nothing, she had said nothing to him for the past 7 years. The man shrugged, "Fine but we will be moving to a new place soon,". Again Alexia said nothing. Crack. Alexia jumped from her sitting position. Her captor looked out the window and sighed," Looks like we have another visitor,". He put the water on the table and went outside. This had happened numerous times before, someone would accidentally come across the little cabin and her captor would go outside to deal with him. Once again Alexia was left alone so her captor could deal with the imposter. "I can't let him take me from this place," Alexia said attempting to slip the chains off her wrists. With no luck she searched for the key. She searched the dimly lit room and saw it hanging in the far corner. She knew she had about 10 minutes before her captor was back, so she had to act fast. She stood up and tried to reach for the key but her arms were to short. She searched for a rock to throw at it. Alexia looked out the window to make sure he wasn't nearby. She threw it at the key and it flew off the hook, she could now easily grab the key. She fumbled with the key, but managed to quickly unlock the chains. She stood up and took a breath, and walked to the window. There was still no sign of her captor. She quietly opened the door and looked around. It had been 7 years since she had been outside. She took another deep breath and took off running.
