Steph struggled against the chains that were bound around her wrist. She paused for a moment and looked over to Tara who was sitting quietly next to her. "Don't you ever want to see Alexia again?" Steph cried, "Thomas is going to meet her, she thinks he'll let us go," Steph exclaimed. Alexia's mom sighed, "It's no use, we can't get out of these,". "How are you even related to Alexia, she never gave up on finding you and you shouldn't give up on finding her," Steph said turning to Tara. "I-I can't," Tara cried before bursting into tears. "Yes you can," Steph said through her gritted teeth. "Now put your hand over my mouth so Thomas doesn't hear me scream," Steph instructed. Tara sat up and did as Steph said. Her hand muffled the screams of Steph who was squeezing her hand through the chain cuffs. "Got it!" Steph cried looking over to Tara. Tara replied, "Now find the key so we can get out of here!". Steph smiled, they were going to save Alexia.
Zach had just come back with two cokes. He gave one to Alexia and then sat down in the chair opposite to hers. "So are you gonna drive me to the alley, or do I need to walk?" Alexia asked with a hint of annoyance in her voice. "Neither, you're not going," Zach said. "Yes I am!" Alexia cried standing up from her chair, "two people's lives are in danger and you want me to sit here?". "He's not going to kill
them, he needs them to get to you, he won't kill them, not yet," Zach said looking up to Alexia who was still standing. Alexia began to argue,"But-,". She heard her phone ring and dug around in her purse. "It's Steph!" she cried. She answered the call.
"Steph, where are you, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, your mom and I are out, we're gonna run," Steph said hurriedly.
"We'll come pick you up, where are you going?"
"Hey! Let go of me-,"
And then the line went dead.
