Kidnapped

Chapter 3

Alexia woke up to the smell of bacon. "Mmm," Alexia said walking into the kitchen, "smells good,". Steph laughed, "glad you think so,". Alexia smiled and got a glass out of the cupboard. She grabbed the pitcher of orange juice and poured her a cup. "I have a great day planned for us today!" Steph said as she put the bacon and eggs on the table. The girls sat down at the table to eat. Alexia and Steph grabbed a piece of bacon and a spoonful of eggs on their plates. "Are you ready for the news?" Steph asked eagerly. "I sure am," Alexia replied in between spoonfuls of eggs. "We're going shopping!" Steph squealed. Alexia's heart instantly fell, she always used to go shopping with her friends but now she didn't even have any money. "But I don't have any money," Alexia said. "I thought of that already, my mom heard about you and sent me some money to spend on you," Steph said with another squeal. Alexia felt tears forming in her eyes, "thank you so much,". "I'll do the dishes you go get ready to go," Steph said taking the plates from the table. Alexia nodded and went into her room, wiping the tears from her eyes. She grabbed the outfit Steph had given her and went into the bathroom. She turned the shower on and undressed. She ran her hair under the water and lathered soap into it. She rinsed the soap out of her hair and turned the water off. She stepped out and got dressed. After applying a little bit of makeup she opened the bathroom door. "Ready?" Steph asked smiling. "Yup," Alexia replied with a smile. Steph grabbed her purse and car keys off the table and the girls headed out the door.

"Okay, first stop is Darla's," Steph said pulling the car into a small parking lot. The girls got out of the car and went into the store. "Whoa, this place is awesome," Alexia said as she admired the shelves of clothing and chandeliers. Alexia picked up a crop top from a nearby table and held it up to her,"how about this?". "Your going to have to try everything on," Steph said as she turned around to another table. After an hour the girls had collected a handful of tops and shorts. "Darla, could we have a dressing room please?" Steph yelled up to the counter. "Sure can honey," Darla said as she grabbed a key from her pocket,"and who is this?". "This is Alexia, she's staying at my place for awhile," Steph said. "Hi honey, it's nice to meet you," Darla said hugging Alexia around the waist. When Darla had went back to the counter, Alexia grabbed a black crop top and black shorts to try on. She went into the dressing room and put the clothes on. When she was finished she came out to show Steph. "How do I look?" Alexia asked twirling around. "Get yourself some black converse and the outfit is perfect," Steph said smiling. When Alexia was finished trying all of the clothes on, she went up to the counter to pay. "Alright darling, since your friends with Steph you get 20% off your purchase." Darla said as she rang up the purchase. Alexia paid and the girls left the store. "How about we get lunch?" Steph asked as she pointed to a nearby cafe. "Sounds good!" Alexia exclaimed as she put her bags in the back of the car. Steph locked the car and the girls headed into the restaurant. The small cafe wasn't very busy so they were seated immediately. Alexia looked around the cafe, she was surprised at the 80's resemblance. "And for you?" the waiter asked Alexia. "Lex," Steph said as she waved her hands in front of Alexia's face. "Oh, uh sorry," Alexia said as she faced the waiter. She was surprised how cute he was, with brown hair and blue eyes, "I'll take a coke,". "Ok, I'll get that for you girls," he said as he walked away looking back at Alexia. "That's Zachary," Steph said with a smile. All Alexia could do was return the smile.
