Kidnapped

Chapter 6

Alexia jumped on a trampoline. She would bounce a few times and then do a front flip. She could hear her mom on the deck, "Alexia be careful,". "Don't worry mom,"Alexia said climbing down from the trampoline. She went up to her mother and sat on the chair next to her. "I don't know what I would do without you,", her mom said gazing at her daughter. "Don't worry, I'll never leave you," Alexia said wrapping her arms around her mom's body. Her mother smiled, "I love y-".

Alexia awoke with a gasp. She looked around the room and sighed. It was just a dream. Alexia stood up from the bed and slowly made her way to the door. She opened the door slowly and went into the family room. She switched the tv on and turned the volume down. She flipped through some movie stations and finally decided on a movie she used to watch with her mom. "What are you doing up so early?" Steph said rubbing her sleepy eyes. "I, I couldn't sleep," Alexia said. Steph walked around the couch and sat down, "Bad dream?". "Alexia nodded and began to tell Steph what happened. About halfway through, Alexia realized just how much she missed her mom and began to cry. "Shh, shh, it's ok, come here," Steph said pulling Alexia into a hug,"we're gonna figure out who your mom is,". Alexia nodded and wiped her tears. "Im so sorry, I'm crying like a little baby,". "Don't be sorry, you've been through so much," Steph said giving her a hug, "why don't you go get some rest and we'll begin our search tomorrow," Steph said helping Alexia to her feet. Alexia nodded and turned the TV off. The girls headed back into their rooms, and within minutes were asleep.

The next morning, Alexia awoke to the smell of bacon. She lifted her legs out of bed and stretched. She put a robe on and went into the kitchen. "Hey sleepyhead, this is my mom, she decided she's going to help us," Steph said gesturing to the woman making breakfast. "Hello sleepyhead," Steph's mom joked. "I'm Alexia, thanks so much for the money," Alexia said giving a heartwarming smile. "It was no problem," the woman said flipping a pancake. "Alexia, come over here and we'll start the search," Steph said grabbing a phone book. "Don't you have school today?" Alexia questioned sitting beside Steph. "Yes, that's why my mom's here," Steph said, "She's going to help you while I'm gone,". Alexia nodded and grabbed a book from the pile, "how are we going to find my mom when I don't know her name?". "You're just going to have to think," Steph shrugged. "Have you had any dreams about her?" Steph's mom asked sitting down at the table. The girls got up to join her, "I've had a few, one last night," Alexia said getting a pancake from the plate. "Describe her to me," Steph's mom said. "Um, well she has blonde hair, and blue eyes, and the biggest smile I've ever seen," Alexia said smiling at the memory. Steph's mom gasped, "I think I know who your mom is,".
