Kidnapped

Chapter 11

The girls had just finished putting all of the groceries away when the phone rang. "I'll get it," Steph said picking up the phone. Alexia grabbed the tv remote and sat down on the couch. She flipped through a few channels and decided on a movie. She didn't hear Steph walk back into the room. "Guess what!!" Steph screamed jumping onto Alexia. "What?" Alexia laughed as she shoved Steph off her lap. Steph sat crossed legged on the floor, "I won't be joining you and Zachary for dinner tomorrow," Steph smiled. Alexia was confused, "Where are you going?". "Thomas has invited me over to his place instead," she replied with a big smile. Alexia was instantly alarmed, "But you can't,". "Why not?" Steph defended. "Uh, I wanted to have a double date," Alexia said quickly. Steph smiled, "Don't be nervous, you'll be perfectly fine," Steph said standing up, "I'm gonna go get a bath,". Steph skipped into the bathroom. Alexia shook her head, "Why can't you just tell her?" she said to herself. She stood up to pour herself a glass of milk. She knew Steph would go to bed right after her bath, so she had the whole house to herself. Alexia stood at the counter and slowly drank her milk. "What if she gets hurt?" she asked herself, "I would never be able to forgive myself, ". She went over to the sink and dumped the rest of her milk out. She shut off all of the light and went to bed.

Alexia awoke to the sound of birds chirping. She flipped over and looked at the clock, "1:30!" She jumped up out of bed and dashed for the shower. Zachary was coming at 5 and she still had to figure out what was for dinner. She quickly lathered some shampoo in her hair and rinsed it out. She hopped out of the shower and quickly got dressed. She had gotten a shower and dressed in a half an hour. "What to eat, what to eat?" Alexia questioned. She finally decided on lasagna and chicken parmesan. She took the chicken out of the freezer and put it in a dish. She sprinkled cheese on it and put it in the oven. She then gathered the noodles, and sauce and put them together in a dish. She put the dish in the oven and went to clean herself up. She looked in the mirror and said, "Boy do I need a shower,". She laughed out loud but decided she didn't have time for another shower and settled with a bun. She went into her room and picked up the outfit Steph had helped her pick out. She quickly put it on and went to check on the food. She had just taken the food out when the doorbell rang, She anxiously walked to the door and took a deep breath.

"Seriously, she did that?" Alexia cried. "I'm not kidding!" Zachary said laughing. "Uhh, I should probably clean up," Alexia said wiping the tears of laughter from her face. "Let me do it, you made the delicious meal," Zach said grabbing the plates from her hands. "We can both do it," Alexia said smiling. Zach smiled and filled the sink with soapy water. Alexia grabbed a dry towel and dried the dishes when Zach was done washing them. Between the two of them, it only took about 30 minutes to complete the task. Zachary set down the wash rag, "I think I'll be heading home, it's getting late,". Alexia looked at the clock, "It's 10:30, " she whispered. "Yeah, so?" Zachary questioned. "Steph was supposed to be home at 7," Alexia said pacing back and forth. "Wait hold on, she might've stayed a little later than she thought," Zach said. "She said she would text me if that happened, what if he did something to her," Alexia said grabbing her phone. She dialed Steph's number. "Who?" Zach asked. "Thomas," Alexia whispered.
