Kenny enters his house with an angry expression, muttering to himself with Devlin following behind.
"Can't help save the city, can't go out for a cheeseburger without getting yelled at...! IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO WITHOUT SOMEONE SCREAMING IN MY EARS?!" Kenny exclaimed as he sat down on the couch.
"Sumo Slammers?" Devlin replied as he sat down beside Kenny.
"BESIDES THAT?!" Kenny yelled. "Ugh...I feel like Harry Potter living with the Dursleys. Not allowed to do a damn thing!"
"Okay, it's not THAT bad. Stop being such a dick, dude. You don't have an abusive family environment." Devlin replied. "Besides, Ben acting the way he is natural for any parent. If what happened to you happened to me, I'm sure my mom and dad would behave the same way."
"I thought you were on my side?" Ken asked.
"I am, man. I don't like you being locked up either. But you're not completely in the right, either. Ben's doing this because he cares. You do realize that, right?" Devlin explained.
"...I know..." Ken admitted. "Look, I appreciate the concern, I really do. But I'm a wielder of the Omnitrix. I've taken down REALLY dangerous bad guys. You've seen me do it. HE'S seen me do it. I just wish he would trust me once again, like he used to."
"I understand that. And what you said to Ben isn't totally wrong. But you were a real asshole, that's for sure. And I'm pretty sure, you hurt his feelings." Devlin replied.
"You're right..." Ken looked down in shame. "I'll apologize once he's home..."
As if on cue, the door opens and Ben walks in. Ken perks up and immediately walks over to his father.
"Dad, I just wanted to say I'm-"
"It's okay, kid. I overheard. Apology accepted." Ben replied before ruffling Kenny's hair. "Listen, kid..."
Ken looks up at Ben.
"I know I've been too restrictive of you, lately. But I only did it to keep you safe." Ben explained himself. "I'm sorry that I made you feel trapped and suffocated."
"I know, dad. You don't have to explain yourself to me." Ken replied.
"That's why, to make it up to you, I've decided on a nice vacation!" Ben revealed.
"Vacation?" Ken and Devlin asked.
"Yeah. It's a road trip. and the first stop...is a beach!" Ben replied. "We leave next week."
"ALL RIGHT!!" Ken and Devlin cheered.

An old RV pulls up to the beach.
