95. The Deadly Underground

Kevin leads the group of heroes and Plumbers into the mansion, knocking out any yakuza thugs that came their way.

"Sorry for getting dirt on the floor!" Fat Gum yelled.

"Dude, that's what your worried about?" Kevin asked.

"What? Its good manners!" Fat Gum replied. "Anyway, forget about watching for any suspicious activity, this is way beyond that!"

"Yo, I'm getting a real bad feeling about this! Not that we've got much of choice to keep going as the mission's officially on!" Rock Lock added.

"That inside job really messed us up. And I don't like how these guys are lumped together either." Itsuka pointed out.

"Then we'll just have to be smarter about avoiding their ambushes. They must've been told to stay united on purpose." Gwendolyn replied.

"Once they've crossed the sake cups, their vows of loyalty to their boss is all but sealed." Aizawa pointed out. "They probably feel inferior so they emphasize the kind of unity you'd see in gangs of the old age."

"And given all this commotion and the fact that Chisaki nor his top dogs have shown themselves...They must be in the basement, preparing to destroy all the evidence and escape with the girl." Ben added.

"This isn't loyalty!" Eijiro suddenly yelled. "A real leader would never push all the responsibilities on his henchmen and escape!"

"Damn straight!" Ken agreed.

Nighteye then runs ahead of everyone else and stops in front of a shelf with a potted plant on it.

"This is it. This is the entrance." Nighteye informed as he pushes the plant aside and starts messing with the wooden panels of the shelf in a specific order. "Under this vase is a mechanism to open a hidden doorway. If the wooden panels are pushed in a specific order..."

The shelf slides away into the wall revealing a passageway that leads down to the underground.

"Its like a ninja house!" Bubble Girl commented.

"If we didn't know that was there, we'd have been going a wild goose chase around the mansion." Gwendolyn pointed out.

The moment the passageway opens fully, thugs ambush the heroes.

"Bubble Girl!" Centipeder yelled as his arms turn into tendrils.

Aizawa's eyes flash red, erasing the quirks of their adversaries, allowing Centipeder to wrap two of them up in his tendrils. Bubble Girl releases bubbles from her body which explodes in the thugs face as she performs a take down attack on the remaining one, slamming him to the ground.

"Leave them to us and go on head!" Centipeder instructed.

"Wow that was fast!" Eijiro commented.

"Its not far now! Come, hurry!" Nighteye yelled as he led the others into the underground.

The heroes exit the tunnel and take a left, only to see the path be blocked by a wall.

"Its a dead end!" Ken yelled.

"We are going the right way, right?" The officer in charge asked Nighteye.

"Nighteye, explain yourself!" Rock Lock yelled to Nighteye.

"I'll go take a look!" Mirio said as he phased his face through the wall.

"Lemillion, wait! If you go through the wall, you'll be naked again!" Eijiro called after Mirio.

"He'll be okay. Mirio's costume was made using special fibers derived from his own hair. His costume will phase with him whenever he uses his Quirk." Tamaki explained.
