Classification: Book Three Lost Chapter
Explanation: After two years, Y/n has gotten used to the life as a single mother, though she greatly misses Steve. I think this chapter goes in tandem with #8, the second variant of the civil war ending. Ellie is two years old. Not a super happy chapter.
Coincides with the final events of Infinity War

"Mommy?!" I opened my eyes and shifted on the soft cushions of the couch. I rubbed my eyes fending off my mid-day nap and headed to Ellie's room to see what had pulled her away from her slumber.
"Elle? Do you need something, sweetie?" I questioned stumbling over toys that flooded the hallway. "Elle? Where are you?" Her blanket was pulled back and she was nowhere to be seen, "Ellie!" I peeked into her bathroom and shower, but nothing, "Ellie!" She usually never hid like this. "Elenore?" I checked my room, the kitchen, and every square inch of the house and she was nowhere to be found. "Sarah Elenore Rogers! I'm going to count to three," if she didn't make an appearance I was going to start worrying. "One... Two... Three," where in the heck could she have run off to?
I ran outside, checking every one of her little hiding spots, calling her name over and over until I was hoarse. 'Where could she be.'
Then my mind started to wander, thinking of the worst possible situations. Steve and I have enemies, though we went through a great deal of trouble so no one could find us, maybe they did.
'She's been kidnapped,' I shivered at the thought, 'But how did they get away so fast?' I ran to my phone and dialed the number Steve sent me, for emergencies only. No answer.
"Damnit!" I dialed again, "Pick up, pick up, please pick up." Nothing. Finally, I left a voicemail unable to stop my mouth from frantically spewing the situation into the phone at lightning speed. I prayed harder than ever that he would return my calls soon.
I made my way back to the couch I had woken up on only minutes ago, clutching Ellie's favorite stuffed animal. It was a fluffy pink elephant Steve had gotten her from the hospital gift shop when she was only hours old.
I rested my head on my hands as I wrecked my brain for an idea of who to call or reach out to for help. I came up short because the only people I trust with my family are off the grid, who knows where with no way to contact them.
My chest tightened, and emotions wound themselves up like a jack in the box, ready to pop. The last thing I could think of was to head to the local police station and ask them for help.

The car rocked because I turned onto the town's main street at a speed worthy of a felony. After turning the corner, I was shocked by what I saw. Cars were deserted in the middle of the road, people frantically flailing about.
'What the hell!' I thought as I threw the car into park and jumped, not bothering to turn it off. Jogging past a few shops and restaurants, I realized something was horribly wrong. The panic grew heavier in my stomach.
Once I had finally reached the small police station, I was met by a slew of hysterical locals. People pushed and shoved to get further inside. I didn't blame them, but I also didn't know what on earth was happening, and I was very determined to speak with someone in hopes of finding out where the hell my daughter was.
As I squeezed through the crowd, a female police officer caught my eye, and I forced my way over to her.
"Uh, watch it," a person scoffed as I tripped over a foot.
"Officer," I waved to get her attention, "Officer, I need your help." The woman had the same horrified look on her face as everyone else.
"I'm sorry-" she started to shake her head.
