Thanksgiving was great, I had a amazing time with my family and the food was delicious. Plus I think Steve had a really awesome time as well, it was like he had been apart of the family for years.
Steve had asked for a tour of my home town so today, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, that's what we did.
It was quite chilly out side so I put on a cozy winter outfit in order to stay warm.

I insisted on driving mostly because I knew my way around the town. First we drove by my childhood house and old schools which hadn't changed in the slightest. As we past by I would tell him stories.
"That's where you went to high school?" He looked astonished. "It's huge!"
"Yeah, there were 800 kids in my graduating class," I sighed as old memories came back. "It was still too many kids for that building." We drove past the school heading towards the highway that led to the city. As we got on the highway I pointed out shops stores that I would go to and stories of what I did there.
"You had a great childhood," he sighed looking over at me, "didn't you?"
"Yes," you smiled at the memories, "and I'm very grateful. We didn't have all the cool new gadgets or high end clothes but we had a whole lotta fun with what we had."
I turned into a gravel parking lot so I could show Steve my absolute favorite place. I thought it would be a great place to end this little adventure (and Steve thought it would be a great beginning to a new one).
"This is my favorite place." I smiled at him before getting out of the car. "I saved the best for last."
I got out of the car and practically pulled Steve down a hill to a garden filled with colorful flowers. Though it was getting dark, the garden had been decorated for Christmas so lights were lining the pathways and spiraling up trees. This gave us more than enough light to experience the beauty.
Steve had been unusually quiet the whole day but he was silent as I guided him through the garden.
"Are you okay?" I turned to him just to make sure.
"What?" He shook his head and furrowed he brows as if I had pulled him out of a day dream and back to reality. "Yeah yeah I'm fine. I guess I was just taking it all in." He smiled back and I continued to guide him along. Soon out path stopped at the edge of a pond.
"Woah," Steve and I gasped as we looked out over the water. The lights of the garden reflected off of the pond making it seem as if it was made of liquid gold.
"I've never been here when the lights were like this," I looked at the reflections dancing over the water. "It's beautiful!"
"Not as beautiful as you," he reached for my hand then placed a kiss on the back of it.
"Oh darling," I giggled, "you're making me blush!" After that we stood there for a few minutes and admired the scene.
"Hey where are you going?" Steve called out. I swiftly climbed up hill that over looked the whole garden.
