July 2, 2013

It's been a few months since Hydra kidnapped me. My recovery was going well and I had moved back into my apartment. However, I was nowhere close to being cleared for the field, due to both physical and psychological wounds needing more time to heal.

So with all my free time, I decided to plan a surprise vacation for Steve's birthday. I had invited the whole team to come along because honestly, everyone needed a little vacation. As a group we decided to take a five day trip to Hawaii, it also helped that Tony had a beach house just outside Honolulu. But Steve has no idea and we're leaving tomorrow.

Now I was walking into the gym in the avenger's tower. There Steve was destroying the punching bag.

"Hey Steve?" I waved hoping he would see me in his peripheral. But he was too zoned in on killing the poor bag.

"Cap! CAPTAIN!" I yelled and gave him a light nudge. Startled, Steve spun around quickly looking out of breath.

"Sorry, I didn't hear you," he started to unwrap his hands. "What did you need?"

"I need you to get cleaned up. Then I need you to pack a bag." I smiled and started to walk away.

"Wait? Pack a bag for what?" He furrowed his brows together. It is unheard of for the avengers to take a day off let alone a five day vacation, so the confusion was understandable.

"Just a little trip," I grinned giving as little information as possible.

"Can I at least know where to?"

"Hmm... Nope!" I pushed the door of the gym open. Steve stood in the place I left him in confusion.

Later that day I knocked on Steve's door to check on how the packing process was going.

"How's packing going Cap?" I entered his room since the door was open. Steve was just sitting a chair in the corner of the room reading.

"Packed and ready to go," he set the book down and made his way to me. "So when are you going to tell me what this is all about?"

"Did you see the list I left for you?" I ignored his question for the moment.

"Of course," he nodded.

"Great," I smiled. "Well to answer your question, I'll tell you right now. We, the team, are going on a five day trip to Hawaii." Steve's jaw dropped in disbelief.

"Hawaii?" He started to grin.

"Yeah," I smirked. "Team needed a little break and since your birthday is coming up I thought what a great time. Surprise!"

"Wow! Hawaii? Seriously?" He was in shock. "This is going to be amazing!"

"I hope you like it," I kissed him on the cheek.

The next morning we all climbed aboard Tony's private jet and our adventure to Hawaii began.

Me and Steve sat next to each other and Natasha sat across from us.

"So Rogers," Nat started, "what are you excited about most?"

"Honestly I'm just glad to be getting out of the city," he paused, "And away from work for once, you know?"

"Definitely," she nodded in agreement. "I think we all deserve a bit of a break."

"You planning to do anything special for his birthday," Nat turned to me with a smirk.

"We'll have to wait and see I guess. Wouldn't want to spoil a surprise would we?" I smiled up at Steve.

"Now I kinda want to know," he cocked an eyebrow. I shook my head and pretended to zip my lips shut.

After the ridiculously long flight we were finally in Hawaii and arriving to Tony's beach house.

"Welcome to the Coconut Cottage everyone!" Tony opened the doors and presented his beautiful house.

"Coconut Cottage?" Natasha laughed, "this is the furthest thing from a cottage. This is a mansion."

"Would you expect anything less from your billionaire playboy bff?" Tony asked and Nat only shook her head.

"So where can we put our stuff?" Clint asked. Everyone one was getting tired of holding heavy luggage.

"The rooms are right down this hall," some how Tony had already gotten himself a drink. "There is one problem though. There are only 4 bedrooms."

Okay, I definitely did not for see lack of beds to be a problem while staying at a billionaires mansion but stranger things have happened.

"So who is going to sleep with who?" Bruce spoke up. Though everyone else was staring hesitantly at each other, Tony seemed to have already thought this through.

"I've got it all figured out, don't worry." Tony waved nonchalantly.

"I'm definitely worried," muttered Bruce under his breath.

"Okay, so obviously the love birds will share a room," Tony motioned at me and Steve.

"I-" I tried to object but Tony just put a finger over my lips.

"Then Bruce and Thor will share a room," Tony smiled. Bruce looked nervously up at Thor. "Me and Natasha will share a room and Clint will have a room to himself."

"Um I have a big issue with that," Natasha spoke up. "There better be a couch in that room because there is no way I am going to share a bed with you."

"How about Nat and I share, then Clint and Steve share?" I offered a solution. Tony's face dropped.

"That's no fun," Tony whined, "party poopers!"

"Oh get over yourself," Natasha pushed past him into a room. I just followed leaving the boys to be boys.
