"Jae! Don't—!" Jungkook started, his voice tinged with desperation.

But before Jae could look any closer, he straightened and turned back to the room. "Relax, Kook. I was just checking out the view. You're acting weird."

Jungkook exhaled shakily, relief flooding him as he realized Taehyung must have already moved away.

Jin crossed his arms, his eyes narrowing. "You're hiding something."

"What? No! I'm not hiding anything!" Jungkook said, his voice an octave higher than usual.

Jin's gaze bore into him for a long moment before he finally shrugged. "Alright, if you say so. Let's just unpack these bags and catch up."

Jungkook nodded, his heart still racing as he glanced toward the window one last time. Somewhere out there, Taehyung was undoubtedly smirking, probably enjoying the chaos he'd left behind.

Jin walked in first, his sharp eyes scanning the room. "Wow, your dorm is... clean. Suspiciously clean," he said, raising an eyebrow.

"You were eating with two chop sticks?" jae questions seeing the food packets with two pair of chopsticks.

"ah you know.." he pauses thinking of something,

shit he absolutely forgot to remove the food packets.

Swallowing the lupm in his throat, thinking of any excuses " hyung, its mine You know just..."

"You know how much of a foodie he is jae" jin intervenes "he probably wants to devour the food fast, therefore he has two chopsticks" jin shakes his head.

Nodding to that Jae followed, carrying a bag of snacks. "It's cleaner than my room," he admitted, setting the bag on the desk. "Kook, are you sure you live here?"

Jungkook laughed nervously. "Of course, I do. I've just... been organizing. You know, trying to stay on top of things with classes and all."

Jin hummed, clearly unconvinced. He wandered around the room, opening drawers and inspecting shelves. "You've been organizing, huh?" he said, his tone laced with suspicion.

Jungkook's palms were sweaty as he watched Jin's every move. He glanced toward the window, his anxiety spiking as he thought of Taehyung hiding just outside.

"Hyung, stop snooping," Jungkook said, trying to sound casual. "I'm not hiding anything."

Jae laughed, plopping down on the bed. "Relax, Kook. We're just messing with you."

Jin opened the closet, peering inside before closing it with a shrug. "Alright, fine. But you're acting weird. If there's something you're not telling us..."

"There's nothing," Jungkook said quickly, his voice a little too high-pitched. He cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. "I'm just tired. It's been a long day."

Jin narrowed his eyes but didn't press further. He sat down at the desk, opening the bag of snacks. "Fine. Let's eat, then. Jae, grab some drinks from the fridge. Hope you still have some space to eat something with us?"

"yeah, yea hyung" jungkook nods smiling at his brothers

Jae got up, heading toward the mini-fridge, but on the way, he paused by the window. "Hey, it's kind of warm in here. Mind if I open this side of the window as well?"

"No, really, Jae, it's fine," Jungkook said, his voice trembling. He reached for the window, but it was too late.
