Sorry for being MIA.

UPDATES!!

It was a bright afternoon in Busan. The city buzzed with life, people rushing by, shops opening up, and families crowding the malls for end-of-season sales. Jungkook held onto Nari's small baby bag in one hand while the other hand gently held onto the side of the stroller where his little niece sat happily chewing on a soft toy.

Jungkook had taken this day to spend with his family. His mother, sister-in-law Irene, and of course, baby Nari were all together for some shopping before lunch. Since it's weekend, his other family would join them in lunch as well.

It had been a long time since he had this kind of peaceful, warm day with his family. Being away at college these small things were taken away ffrom home. the peace of being with his family. In his home town strolling randomly.

Irene walked beside him, holding Nari's little pink water bottle and talking about the different things they needed to pick up for nari as well as for home.

Jungkook liked Irene a lot. She wasn't just his sister-in-law; she was more like an older sister. She understood him, gave him space when he needed it, and had a way of looking at him like she always knew when something was off.  Plus he was the first one to be introduced to her when jin and she started dating.

The fondness towards her also increased when She didn't treat him like a child, nor did she judge him, even though she had an idea even when Jungkook hadn't said it out loud, but she had figured it out over time. His liking for boys wasn't something he could hide completely — not from her at least. She was more of a friend who has motherly vibes.

But to his relief, she had never said anything cruel. She didn't support it openly either, not because she hated it, but because she was scared — scared for him. Scared of the world they lived in, of their family's expectations. She knew about the things that happened before she was married in the family.

Still, she always made sure he felt safe around her. That was more than enough for him.

"Do you think we should buy a new sweater for Nari?" Irene asked, stopping in front of a display of soft baby clothes. "It's getting colder." this made his train of thought stop.

Jungkook leaned down, brushing Nari's bangs softly. "would like that nari?" he cooed at her. Nari blinked up at him and squealed, slapping her little hands on the tray in front of her.

"She said yes," Irene laughed, already picking up a pastel blue sweater from the rack.

They walked on for a while, browsing clothes and laughing at how Nari tried to grab everything colorful in sight. At one point, Jungkook picked her up and held her in his arms while Irene looked through jackets. While his mother went to sit cause she was tired roaming and shopping.

Nari played with the chain around his neck, babbling nonsense words while Jungkook kissed her chubby cheek again and again.

She smelled like baby lotion and warm milk. The kind of smell that made you feel safe

As they reached the billing counter, Jungkook felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He pulled it out, checking the screen. It was a message from Taehyung.

Hope<3: "Don't forget to have lunch on time. And send me a picture of both my babies!"

A smile broke across his face before he even realized it. His fingers moved quickly as he typed back. His blush depended at taehyung's new habit of calling him and nari both babies.

"I won't. She's being a little princess today. I'll send you a pic soon of both of you babies"

He chuckled to himself, heart warm, when he suddenly noticed Irene's eyes glance at the screen.

"Hope...?" she teased, raising an eyebrow. "Is that someone special?"

Jungkook quickly locked the phone and shook his head, trying not to look flustered and shocked "No, just a friend."

Irene didn't push right away, but her smirk said she didn't believe him. She took the bill and started walking toward the food court with Jungkook following closely behind, still carrying Nari who was now resting her head on his shoulder, clearly tired.

They found a quiet table near the window. His mother joined them a few minutes later, followed by Jin hyung and their father, who had just finished some work nearby and decided to join them for lunch. While jae was practicing for his upcoming basketball match.

Lunch was calm. His father spoke in his usual soft but firm tone, asking Jungkook about classes, professors, and if he had been eating well. Jin hyung kept teasing him about gaining weight or being too thin — both depending on the mood — while Irene helped Nari eat her mashed carrots from a small baby bowl she brought.

Jungkook sat there quietly, soaking in the love. They weren't the easiest family to live with, not always expressive, sometimes strict to the point of suffocation, but they were his. And being with them — eating warm rice, hearing Nari's babbles, his mother's occasional scolding — it grounded him.

After lunch, Irene walked beside him as they strolled through the mall again.

"So..." she said quietly, making sure the others were ahead of them, "Hope?"

Jungkook gulped , he didnt want to lie, but he cant tell the truth either. He cant atleast not now.

So he just smiled while gulping, avoiding her eyes and speaking slowly so that other cant hear them. "Nothing, noona i told you just a friend" he tried convincing.

"so which calls other one baby huh?" irene tease and by her way of teasing jungkook  and tell that she thinks that hope is a girl. She thinks that he has a girlfriend. Oh god.
