Chapter 86

The words slipped out before Jungkook could stop them.

"I like him."

The room went completely silent.

"What did you just say?" Jae Hyung questioned Jungkook, who looked like he was about to faint any moment.

"Pl-please do-don't h-hurt hi-him l-I li-like h-hi-" A slap echoed in the lounge as Jungkook's face was whipped to the right side as Jae Hyung hit with enough force to silence him.

"Jae !" Jungkook's mother screamed as she quickly walked to cover her son before Jae Hyung or Jin Hyung could hit him again. Jungkook was too shocked to even respond. His eyes were the size of a saucer as fresh, hot tears rolled down his cheeks.

"What did you just say?! Say it again!" Jae Hyung roared at his brother who trembled under the sheer intensity of his brother's words.

Never had he been hit, not even by his parents, not after the scene that happened in middle school "Did you even hear what your son has said?! Is this what he does in college? Is this why we have trusted him so much?" Jae Hyung pointed an accusing finger at his brother who continued to stand behind his mother and cry out loud.

"I am sorry, so sorry. Please forgive me." Jungkook cried while looking at his brothers and father, who all looked like they were going to blow up any minute.

"No one knows," Jungkook whispered, tears falling now. "I didn't tell anyone."

"That's not what I asked," Jae snapped. "Is this what I think it is?"

Jungkook said nothing.

That silence was enough.

Jae let out a sharp, humorless laugh. "So it's true." Jungkook's knees almost gave out.

"You promised," Jae said, his voice shaking with anger. "You promised you were done with this nonsense."

"You said, you were cured" Jae added, 

its not an illness, Jungkook wanted to say.

Jungkook wanted to say that this is what he is truly is. But kept quite nonetheless.

Their father spoke then, his voice cold. "You were warned."

Jungkook flinched like he had been slapped again.

"Do you know what this does to our family?" Jin spoke this time. "Do you know how much shame this brings?"

"I didn't meet him here" Jungkook said quickly, panic rising again. "No one knows. I was careful."

Careful.

As if that made it better.

"I am sorry appa, please," Jungkook apologised again, thinking it would a difference.

"What are you even apologizing for? For breaking our trust? For being sick? For making us feel like a fool? Did you even think about us before doing these shameful act" Jae Hyung glared at Jungkook, although he did feel a pang of hurt in his chest at his brother's pitiful expressions but it couldn't overcome his anger yet.

"We will deal with him later. Firstly, we are going to teach a lesson to that Taehyung" Jin Hyung said angrily. "We will definitely find him."

There was only one thing Jungkook dreaded more than his own life at this point. Taehyung being hurt.

Jae stepped closer, lowering his voice. "Is he still in your life?"

Jungkook swallowed hard. "Yes."

Their mother covered her mouth. Jin turned away.

"I didn't want you to hurt him," Jungkook cried. "I just—this is who I am."

"Please appa, Hyungs Pleaseee.. I am ga.." jungkook tried but before that Jae held his arm tight, angry and fury mixing in his eyes. "This ends today." 

He didnt even let Jungkook complete. As if it would burn them. 

As if all forces were acting against Jungkook right now, Jungkook's phone vibrated, indicating a call from Hope.

A newfound fear took over Jungkook as he screamed out a "No!"

Jae Hyung gave a deathly glare to Jungkook before putting the phone on speaker to make sure the entire family heard it while Jungkook's mother held Jungkook back.

Taehyung was surprised to see him pick up the call this quickly but it was a pleasant kind of surprise. Was he that excited to hear him? He smirked before speaking, "Hello, bun, wait, do you know why I called you?"

"Bun? We will teach you a lesson. Are you bothering our brother? If you ever dare to call, text, or meet my brother, then just watch what we do to you." Jae Hyung replied, and Taehyung's humorous tone disappeared as he turned serious as well.

"Look, man, I mean no harm to your brother. I wasn't bothering him. I love him, actually. " Taehyung said in a calm tone.

"Love? We will beat the love out of you. We will beat you up so much you won't even be able to recognize your own face in the mirror. I am warning you for the last time, stay away from Jungkook." Jin Hyung threatened.

"I can't do that. I love Jungkook way too much. Don't do anything to him. he is innocent in all of this. It's all my fault." Taehyung replied knowing full well how strict his family was since he had told him countless times. He wont let them hurt his boyfriend.

Jungkook broke out into a fresh set of tears at Taehyung's words. Why was this idiot acting brave? He should just back off now.

"Just go away, Taehyung!" Jungkook said loudly in tears that Taehyung heard over the speaker. "Forget about me, please!"

"Dont dare call again now." Jae Hyung warned and then hung up, but it didn't even take five seconds for Taehyung to call back. Jin Hyung swore under his breath before snatching it from his brother's hand and picking it up.

"Look, please don't hurt jungkook. You want me, okay? Fine Tell me, and I will come and meet you." Taehyung said calmly. Already planning to leave as he was in Daegu for some work.

He called, just to tell Jungkook this, that he will come to see him soon. 

"Yeah? Asshole, come to our home if you can, and then we will handle you," Jin screamed into the phone.

"I will be there in an hour," Taehyung said, his head a mess, thinking and worrying about jungkook, But he knew one thing, that he wont let anyone mess with Jungkook. 

If jungkook agrees, then he will be taking him home today itself.

Jin cut the call and looked at jungkook, who was now on the floor, crying on their mother's lap.

"He will be here, in a hour" Jin said to Jae and their father.

"hyung, please," jungkook begged but jin ignored his crying brother and left. He went to sit with his father.

"I dont think that asshole would come" jae said and jungkook knew that he wouldn't like how can he come? He is seoul right now. 

From seoul to busan in an hour its nearly impossible.

 It was not practically possible for tae to be here in busan. And Jungkook just prayed to all the gods he knew, for Taehyung not to come here.

He doesn't want Taehyung and His brother meet. No please.
