Host 2 - Jamie's Story

Don't Mess With Me

"MATT!," I shout running towards him.
Jamie ran to keep up. I noticed Mel, Wanda, Ian and Jared had just entered too, probably to see the commotion.

Matt turns around; his eyes widen. "Emma," he whispers. I Couldn't help but let my tears fall and I ran into his arms. He was laughing and crying and repeated my name over and over again.

"Oh, Emma, we thought we lost you," as we pulled away, our tears still evident on our faces, he held me by my cheeks trying to get a good look at me.

"Look how you've grown, you have grown into a fine woman and... You look just like mom."
He whispered the last bit.

I was completely clueless to everyone all staring at our family reunion but I had realised Jamie had walked over to Mel smiling at me like everyone else, happy.

The moment was ruined by Kyle. "Hey matt, i know this is a touchy reunion for you but i still have a bone to pick with you!."

I moved away from Matt glaring at Kyle. "If you want a bone go dig it with your own dog breath," i say sarcastically, folding my arms.

Matt stands forward. "Em, don't," he warned.

"WHY? Can't fight your own battles now. You got your little sister on me."

I stepped forward again.

"I may be little but sometimes it can be an advantage. I elbow him in the stomach, punch him in the face and spun down to catch him by the legs making him tumble.

I stood up in the silent room once more. I hear Kyle groaning, clearly winded.

"I'll get you for this," he whispers.

"Oh bite me," I say flicking my hair and walking past a startled Matt and a still smiling Jamie who followed shortly after.

On my way back to lunch I bumped into Sapphire and Harry. I was so happy to see them she was holding a little boy, James. My first nephew. I'm an aunt now, woop woop. She is going to let me babysit when he's a little older and she can work again.

I was too tired to stick around. After dinner I followed Jamie back to his room to chill out for a bit.

It was an average size room and he said it had been his from the beginning and only Jebs family have their rooms upstairs on this level. I noticed two beds in his room so I sat on the one directly infront of me.

"Do any of you share?" I ask. He sits on the other bed and answers.
"Only lovers or families with young children. Mel and Jared, Wanda and Ian. They share rooms but me, no. It's just there for no reason." I nod.

A yawn escaped my lips. I should go to bed. "You tired?" He whispers. I nod.

"I'll go tell Jeb you're staying here tonight."

"N-noo..."I slur already laying down.

"They'll think we are doing... Stuff" now speaking in the pillow. He chuckles.

"Its been a long day and besides i don't expect you to be able to get up now; nevermind to your own room."

"Uhhhhh," i whine knowing he was right. My body felt heavy and stiff.

"But mel..?" I question but he cut me off.

"... Will be fine with it. Besides she will be sleep deprived from the baby and Jared will probably be the same."

I open my eyes again. "They have a baby?" I say.

He nods. "Little jack, he's 6 months now. Still wakes up at night."

"Aww uncle Jamie, I like it," I tease.

He chuckles again and leaves coming back in shortly with a blanket which he laid over me.

"Go to sleep now," he whispers, crouching by my face.

I had barely closed my eyes and I was out.
