"Emma...Emma wake up," a voice called me.

Groggily I opened my eyes. Smoke clouded the person until he moved closer. "Emma...we got to go".

He pulls me up however what I saw made me feel relief. It was strange to think an explosion saved my life. Thankfully we had been some distance away but it seems we were blown a few feet.

Where a building once stood there was just piles of ashes and fires around here and there.

Helped by saphire we got into a car and drove away. "Where to now?" I asked.

"Home." Saph smiled looking out the window. I Smiled too and laid back watching the sand dumes and we went by.

About an hour later the car made a few strange noises and all the cars stopped. Sighing in annoyance I jumped out and opened the boot. There were a few tools which would be no help in a desert. There was also blankets, they could be useful. I thought to myself. Ooo water and fruit. Score.

After eating I shared out any supplies I found and we began walking. Noon had come and the sun was at its highest peak. Which was unfortunate for us. The blankets gave some cover but didn't help cool us down.

So here I was. In a desert plain once again. Barely any supplies and blindly walking just hoping we were headed in the right direction. The only difference was I wasn't alone.

We walked until sunset. It was still bright out but the sky had changed to orange and reds.

Lisa's pov:

Finally we were taken seriously around here and not seen as just little kids anymore.

Danny, max, julie and I were on watch from the edge of the forest plain into a desert. It wasn't much because, you would have to be crazy coming through the desert on foot but we kept watch anyway. Hiding away our home.

A place we could live entirely off the land. A place we could live in peace and hopefully one day take back our world.

I smiled, unconciously playing with the bracelet on my wrist.

"Lisa, you're doing it again." Danny says taking a drink. I look to see everyone watching me. Then I look back to my wrist. The bracelet was simple but had blue charms. It was very beautiful.

I smiled sadly this time. Julie faced danny once more and they went into a quiet conversation while max got and sat beside me. We had bin together for a year now. Weird since I knew that we liked each other way before then. I guess it was all the drama that postponed it.

Max sat beside me into the sand and smiled taking one hand in his.

I smile back but look back to the bracelet. "You miss her", He stated. I nodded. The others stopped to listen. "look, it's been 2 years since she's left and a year since we lost contact with her".

"But I know she's alive".

"How? There's no way in telling whether she is or not if the seeker got her", julie tries to say.

" I know that but she gave me this bracelet and she told me until she returned to have hope..."

"For a new home. And we did", max inputs.

"I still feel like she's out there...Somewhere", I turn to my brother. He nods understanding. Danny was the only one who truly understands me. He could feel my pain, fear and doubts but he could also feel my happiness, faith and most especially hope.

Hope is what helps keep our humanity. It reminds us that we're human.

Further into the camp laid a young man laying on his cot in his tent. One of many in the area. Taking refuge in a rainforest was inexplicably one of jebs craziest ideas. But it worked. They managed.

Everyone could live a life of normalcy but jamie wasn't entirely sure what to do with himself. He had lost the woman he loved. Let her slip through his fingers. Literally. And has a blatant scar to prove it.

As soon as they arrived here he had been recovering. Jared stood in when he couldn't. When he reached full health jamie didn't take the leader role again. Jared now stands as the man in charge which doesn't bother jamie in the least.

He had his friends, he had his sister and nephew but... He didn't have her....

Wait?! What is that? I wondered standing up and looking into the clearing.

"What is it lisa?" Danny asked looking into the clearing. The others joined. Nothing. Was I imagining it? No.

Taking a closer look with binoculars I made out shadows. Multiple out in the clearing. Where they human? Yes.

Where they friendly? Who knows.

"Yea I see them now," Julie adds. "Can anyone make them out?".

Since she was the first to turn 15 she was more or less the leader of the group.

I looked a little closer. Danny and max through out a few names of people they recognised.

"Wait!wait! Is that saphire?"
Max asks.

"And mark?" Danny adds.

" How could it be? Weren't they taken with another group?", julie shows confusion.

"This doesn't make sense" max mutters.

I scanned the crowd over until I saw a lock of blonde hair nearer to the front. No way! Is that?... "Emma?", we all muttered looking at each other.

"Come on we must tell the others", julie said excitedly. We ran after her back to camp.

"They're back! They're back! Everybody, they're back!" We shouted around. Everyone looked around confused.

"What are you guys doing away from your posts?" Ian questioned standing with jared, mel and wanda. Jack and james in their hands.

"Saphire!..mark..! Emma!" They've come back!".

They stood before me confused and angry. "You know not to mess around like that," jared tells.

"Please, you have to believe me. I'm not kidding. Quickly, come see". I start to run in thay direction. Many others following my group.

In the distance jamie stood outside his tent Hurt and surprised but slowly went through the crowd.
