Host 2 - Jamie's Story

chapter 8

I woke up to doc walking into the room. He looked down just noticing me and smiled. "Lock-down ended half an hour ago. Was on all night. You may want to wake teddy bear there and head down to breakfast"

"What?!" I asked confused. His smile grew and pointed beside me. Jamie was still sleeping peacefully and I realised i had held him around the waist like a teddy bear. His head resting on my shoulder.

I blushed deeply and looked around. Danny and Lisa were still sleeping. Doc looked around too. "You may want to take them with you too".

I shook jamie in a failed attempt to wake him because, he just hugged me tighter around the waist. I shook him again and he mumbled something. "What?" I ask.
"I love you" i made out. My breath was caught and I didn't dare to move. I looked at doc Who was leaning against a table obviously amused. "Is he asleep?" I whisper.
"Looks it".

What was I supposed to think. I guess i could ignore it; i mean he was obviously dreaming of something he loved. Wasn't he?. I laid there puzzled before hearing my stomach growl. Doc chuckled and left.

I sat up, Let me tell you that was hard;he has a strong grip. I could feel his muscles under his top. I could just imagine running my hands up his 6-pack which i assumed was there.

Omg Em don't think like that; he's your friend.

I shook him again but he still refused to wake up so I did the only thing i could think of. I punched his shoulder playfully. He sat up groaning. "What was that for?" He said sitting up completely letting me go.

"You wouldn't wake up and you had a death grip. Sorry" i apologised rubbing his sore shoulder. He sighed and wiggled his shoulder before getting up and helping me up.

I went over to danny first. "Hey, danny"i whispered. He stirred and opened his eyes. I did the same to Lisa. Both sat up yawning "Right here's the plan. We all had a rough night so Jamie can you take Danny to get cleaned up and I'll take Lisa. I'm sure you two want to freshen up. I know i do" i chuckled.

"Sure" jamie says. "Come on Danny" Jamie seemed to know everyone in this cave which makes sense since they have to live together. Danny held back looking at me. "Don't worry I'll look after her. We will meet you in about 10 minutes."

"Danny its fine" Lisa says behind me and jumps off her bed. "I'm ok now".

Danny slowly leaves the room behind Jamie.
"Don't mind him. He doesn't like leaving me. Especially with someone he doesn't know."

"You trust me right"
"Well you did help me" i nod and pull her out. I knew Jamie would be in Danny's room before going to ours so we went to Lisa's room Who stays with her friend Julie next door to dannys and his best friend Max.

Jeb made it final that i would stay with jamie coz he said and i quote 'you two are old enough to know better and i trust you but no baby making' i blushed when he said that. "Uncle, no one says that any more" Jamie defends.

"So... Do you like anyone?" I ask.
"What?" She gasps.
"Just making conversation."
"Well, if you must know yes but it can never happen" she sighs.
"Let me guess" i stop walking studying her. "I'm guessing someone you know really well... Probably close to your brother that's why you won't do nothing about it... Hmmmm. It's Max." I smile as i see her put her head down failing at denying it.
"Mmmhhhmmm" i smile completely not convinced.

She sighs again. "Fine... Yes... How did you know?"
"Call it an intuition"
"Doesn't matter anyway. Even if he wasn't dannys best friend he never notices me"
"I have an idea" i pull her along into her room. This will definitely get his attention.
