Host 2 - Jamie's Story

chapter 15

The day went on as normal. I saw the necklace jamie gave me as it was only safest there. I was helping unload some new stock Ian had brought in this morning.

I don't understand why he got so..... Touchy?emotional? No that's not it. I guess it was similar. He was definitley sweet though.

"Ow!" I screech noticing i dropped a Box on my foot. "Off in your own world again em?"mel replied walking in with wanda.

I look down at the Box and pick it back up off the truck and piled it with the others. "Maybe..."

"What's on your mind?" Wanda asks following mel to the truck. Unloading it as we talked.

"What do you mean?i'm fine"

"You sure it ain't my brother?"mel smirked putting down another Box and sat on it.

"Is it just us girls doing this today?" I ask.

"Yes the guys are busy. Now stop avoiding the question" wanda replied.

"Look for the final time. Nothing is going on between ur brother and i" i tell mel. Sitting down also.

"Its so obvious" wanda smiles grabbing another Box.

"I...."

(BOOM!!!!!!)
Rocks went flying everywhere. Dirt flying in our mouths. We all ducked for cover.

My ears where ringing while people where shouting. People came running in looking at the commotion. Mel got up and helped another pick an unconcious wanda off the floor who had a big gash on her head.

Another grabbed me under my arm and pulled me up shouting something but it was blurred. I couldn't hear much. I looked to the where the explosion came from. The entrance for our vehicles now had a Huge whole in it allowing entrance to those outside.

What i didn't want to see was souls running in with tranquilizers. Shooting as people tried to run away. They left me which i wasn't surprised as i saw victoria stand in front of me.

The buzzing had stopped in my ears by now and i could hear screams and Guns fire but I didn't turn from her.

"How did you find us?". I spoke confidently though inside i was trembling. How where they not spotted.

"A seeker always finds its target."
As she smiled i saw souls dragging unconcious bodies back to the hole.
Including harry and saphire.

"Let them go. You can have me but leave them be. Please" i begged.

She Smiled even more. Why, When i can have both?"i could feel something against my foot and it clicked.

I pulled out my gun from my shoe. A small pistol, but still good.
It was something i had kept from the beginning but forgot about it for a while.

"Put them down or she gets it!" I demanded pointing the gun at Victoria. The souls looked at one another and put them down; still within the caves with their hands up.

Those who where concious were tied up to make no movement or sound.
Victoria quickly took out her gun and shot. Just missing me. I ran out the cave quickly as she continued firing. One bullet caught my leg. I stumbled and fell down the hill not far from the entrance. Now on my knees i face victoria again.

Pistol still in hand i looked up to the cave entrance noticing a ledge.

"End of the road emma. At Long last"

I shake my head. "No, for both of us" she looked confused and watched as i shot at the ledge repeatedly till it came loose. It was like an avalanche of rocks.

The fallen rock concealed the entrance again with us as the Centre.
