Chapter 19: Edward's Free day.

I woke up on Sunday sore. It was early , as always, and I had really nothing to do. I got out of bed and put on my Sunday clothes. I figured I would go to the Purge Education room and practice a bit. I was really sore. My side hurt like a bitch from where Jazlyn had killed me in the Purge. That did not stop me from walking out of the Ianite dorm and going straight to the Arena. I wasn't going to make a mistake next purge. I unstrapped my Scythe and flipped a lever. Three dummy's with wooden swords appeared from thin air, curtasy of command blocks. Command blocks made me curious. I figured I would ask the Devisor about them later. I started practice, aiming for the body. Not as much damage as the head but it was a larger target and a couple slashes from my scythe would ruin you . I remembered my fight with Alyssa . She had been fast and it was a challenge blocking her strikes. I figured I would work on My reaction time . I walked to the wall and hit a button . Arrows began to fly at me from multiple directions and I worked on blocking them, using the whistle that they made as an indicator. I did this for about an hour and then stopped. My right arm, already sore from Alyssa's rapier, was shaking from pain. I switched my scythe to my left hand and kept at it. After a bit I felt like somebody was watching me. I turned around and saw Steve leaning against the wall eating an apple.

"Oh, hello Steve ." I said, and blocked another arrow.

"Crikey mate, your killing yourself." He said " I mean, I know you feel bad for losing the purge for your house but, this is overkill."

"Thanks Steve, because I completely needed you to remind me that it was my fault we lost" I said and turned around to block more arrows.

"You can't win a right rumble by yourself mate, "he said," you could use some allies."

" What do you mean?" I asked turning off the arrows for a bit .

He walked up to me. " just read this mate, and you'll understand" he said handing me a paper. " I must be going now mate , but you think of that paper. And it seems like you could use a little refreshment, you haven't aten a thing all day." He said and left.

I read the paper and smiled.' This really isn't a bad idea' I thought. I turned back to the dummies. I started attacking them. I had almost destroyed the whole of them when Alee, Izzy, and Autumn saw me and walked in.

"Hey guys ." I said , still fucking up dummies

"Hey Eddie," they said.

" What are you guys doing?" I asked

"Oh nothing, " Autumn said " we were just heading to the Dine- at - Nite to get some food. It's about lunch time"

" Is it ? " I asked, " i lost track of time."

" Yeah, it is." Alee said.

" How long have you been in here anyway, Eddie?" Izzy asked.

" Uh, I woke up at five in the morning and I went straight here, why? " I asked.

" You mean you haven't eaten all DAY ? " Izzy said.

" Yeah , " I said, " I'm not letting you guys Down next purge like I did the last one ." I said, ashamed of myself.

"Eddie , you saved me from not being killed, and you killed Alyssa to get revenge for Alee. You didn't let us down." Izzy said , a little annoyed.

" Yeah , and that was really sweet of you to do that Eddie. " Alee said.

" Come with us , get some food. The least we could do is prevent you from starving yourself." Autumn said.

I stopped hacking at the dummies and turned around,Looking at the ground. I strapped my Scythe to my waist and walked up to them. I wiped the sweat of my face and said. " Alright, let's go get lunch guys."

"Let's go." Izzy said. We walked out of the Arena and started walking to lunch. I put my hand in the pocket of my shorts and felt the paper. I felt like I needed to tell them about Steve's plan. So I did. I told them about how Steve was thinking of Ianite and Dianite making an alliance to defeat Mianite . They all agreed that it was a good idea. We arrived at the Dine-at- Nite and got food. When we sat down there was only another guy at the table. We set our food down and started to eat.

" Hello Andor," I said , "How are you today?" I asked.

"Hey, I'm good , how about you?" Andor asked.

"Good , " I said " a bit sore."

"Yeah, I saw you in the Arena practicing" He said . I noticed Alee was blushing. I realized that Andor had been giving her glances sense we got here. She had been smiling and her face was a little red. Andor got up to go.

" I better be going now, " he said, "bye guys." He smiled at Alee before he walked off. We all turned to her.

"You like him." Izzy said smiling.

"What? No" Alee said, also smiling.

I got up. "Yeah, you like him. " I said and started to walk off. They all followed. We got to the Ars magica room and saw Iain alone. I walked up slowly and put Steve's note where he would find it.

Later that night he came over with Lucas and we walked to the Ads magica room. Jazlyn caught us , but didn't do anything. She agreed with us. An alliance was a good idea
