Chapter 24: Dianite Thursday

Jazlyn

It was another normal day, or as normal as a day could get in this school. Jazlyn was sitting in World History while Jeriah went on and on about some war. She couldn't wait to go to Ars Magica class next period. She and Alyssa were far ahead of the others thanks to the free day.

"Psst," she heard someone next to her whisper. They were looking at Jeriah, but they passed a note to her under the desk. It must have been from an Ianitee, since it was passed across the room. She unfolded it quietly so the teacher wouldn't hear. Printed in small blue letters were the words: "tonight, 5:00, same place". She could only assume it was referring to the meeting time of the secret Ianite-Dianite alliance.

The class was over soon after, and the Ars Magica class went by far too quickly. And then, the last class before lunch, pranking. When she walked into the classroom, nothing could have prepared her for what she saw.

"Jazlyn, Alyssa, leave! The classroom needs to be cleaned before you could enter!" Tom panted. The girls looked up and saw that the walls were covered in drawings of, well, dicks.

"Who did this?" Alyssa burst out laughing. "They deserve a pranking award."

Jazlyn rolled her eyes. "I don't know about that. It's a great prank, sure, but also incredibly immature."

"Well," Alyssa said, still laughing, "is that a bad thing? This class practically runs on immaturity."

Finally, the girls made their way down to the cafeteria. Jazlyn saw a group of her friends in a circle, whispering about something. When they saw her, they motioned for her and Alyssa to join them.

"Did you hear what happened in the Ianite room?" one of them asked in a hushed voice. When they shook their heads, she continued, "There was a Taint infestation. Nobody's sure where it came from, but it covered almost everything. The instructors are trying to figure it out."

Alyssa looked shocked, but all she said was, "Hmm. Strange." Jazlyn didn't have much else to say, either. What could she do about something that had happened to the Ianitees?

The day flew by, and then it was five. Jazlyn told Alyssa what the note had said, and they made their way down to the room where the Ianitees and Dianitees gathered to discuss their alliance against Mianite. There were quite a few more people there today, especially from the Ianite side. After making sure that nobody could find them here, they began to plan.

Things might be normal for now, but Jazlyn wasn't sure how long that would last.

Lucas

I woke up today feeling quite happy and relieved, tonight would be the night I got Jazlyn back! I had already dug the hole, so I just need to get the machines and move the bedrock. Good thing Iain didn't question me asking for his dig spell Monday night.

I got out of bed quite hungry, so I bolted down to the Dine-at-nite. Most people were still not up though. "Strange" I thought. So I looked at my watch. "Oh shit! I missed history!" I yelled and so I bolted down to blood magic, only to arrive just in time. I entered the class and I went and sat down in my normal seat. The class seemed to have gone by very quickly, to my dismay.

Next we had pranking. "I will get those stupid Mianitees back for the prank they pulled first prank class," I thought. I was just about to walk into the class when Tom said, "Sorry the class needs cleaning!"

I peered inside the walls were covered in dicks! "Hahaha why?" I asked Iain. He just shrugged.

I waited for a bit until lunch and walked down to the Dine-at-nite, a bunch of girls were in a circle being me I didn't question any of it! I went in to eat and sat beside Iain "What's with them?" I asked him.

"Who knows, they're girls" he replied.

After lunch was smelting this time we were all told to make a hammer. Mot gave us each a paper lay out of the hammer and we all got to constructing it everyone was only using iron to make it because we didn't have much time for class. I was pouring the head to the hammer I heard someone scream! It was Lucy so I ran over and asked "what happened?" She replied sobing and holding her hand out "I spilled the melted iron on my hand!"

Since I'm a blood mage I took out my orb and cut myself and handed it to her. "Use this it should heal you."

Taking the orb she used it and almost instantly her hand healed. "Thank you!" She said still wincing in pain. We all finished them and left them to cool with Mot.

After smelting was right rumbling with Steve. One of my favorite subjects. But instead of being paired with Iain, I was paired with Jake, the stupid kid who pranked me. Steve blew his wistle and we started. I ran at Jake and took him down very quickly, punching him very hard. While doing this Steve ran over and pulled me off of Jake.

"This is right rumbling mate, not kill your opponent!" He shouted at me. We fought a little bit more me continuing to win when the class ended.

I headed down to the Dine-at-nite when Lucy walked up to me. "Thanks for hurting yourself to help me..."

"It was no problem, I'll see you later" I replied and walked off. I stepped into the Dine-at-nite and went and ate a lot of food cause tonight was going take a hell of a lot of energy.

I went back to my dorm and waited when I heard Jazlyn walk in and say goodnight to a bunch of people. I then waited an hour more, and it was around 10pm, so I snuck out of the dorm and went to the blood magic room. Upon entering I went into the closet and grabbed the 2 machines that can movebedrock. Running back to the dorm I put one by Jazlyn and ran outside to the hole I'd been digging with Iains dig spell I moved one piece of bedrock and another untill Jazlyn was sealed in a bedrock cage. I got both machines and brought them back to the blood magic room. I ran to our dorm and went to my bed it was now 5am "the school day starts in 3hours" I thought. Snickering I fell asleep.

Iain

Iain woke up Thursday, Yay.  The most randomly placed, odd day of the week.  Who didn't love thursday? it was named after Tom, Dianites first follower.  Thursday was Dianite's day.  He headed to the dine at night and grabbed an apple pie, no need to eat allot of food. Lucas was still in bed he remembered as he finished, oh well him helping him wouldn't help.  He got to history and read the next chapter, not waiting for Jeriah to finish speaking he sliped into a trance, he learned how to do it from Martha, and she said he was by far one of the best at it.  It allowed for clearer vision of events happening, and the best could even see the future. Whenever he tried to see the future he saw images of the heart, dragon, and snake so he usually didn't look.  Today he was trying auras, to see someones true intentions.  Nifty, but time consuming.  He opened his eyes Done already? he headed over to ars magica and practiced the sight with Martha and 3 other gifted. after magic he went to pranking, only to find it was canceled. He had an hour off so he went to the Dine at night with Lucas. Lucas pointed to a few girls and asked what they were doing.  He perfected his Aura vision so he knew that they were doing something... not evil. but he didn't know what so he just said "Who knows? they are girls" After lunch they did Smelting.  They were all told to make hammers so he did, no reason to make it fancy.  Afterwords he went to Purge training.  There he sparred with Alyssa and held his own pretty well.  After that he headed to his dorm were he heard some people talking about taint in Ianite... didn't chapter 87 in history talk about a connection? oh well he was to tired to worry.
