Come on, come all to this tragic affair...
Izzy looked around at the Fifty or so Ianitees and Dianitees still on the Dine-at-nite. More were coming in, after waking up late and coming down for breakfast to find a makeshift hospital and blood. Gallons of the stuff, all over the floor.
From the dead and alive, sinners and innocent blood all over the cobblestone floor.Wipe off that makeup what's in is despair...
Izzy walked over to Alee, who had dark smudges under her eyes from her mascara. Izzy didn't dare think what her own makeup looked like.
Probably just added to the whole Goth-Emo look.So throw on the black dress, mix in with the lot,
You might wake-up and notice your someone you're not...Izzy looked over and saw Vanessa's body lying on the floor at the far end of the Dine-at-nite. Effectively she had killed her. It was the dragon that she had tamed who killed her.
She had killed someone.
With respawn off.
Was she really the person she was when she woke up?If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see,
You can find out first hand what it like to be me...Izzy left Alee to her sobbing (she was terrified Andor wasn't going to return, and Izzy didn't blame her). She walked around the cantine, stopping at every dead person she saw in either an Ianite or Dianite uniform. Lucas was mourning over Lucy, along with Mackenzie Stuart, one of Lucy's closest friends. Lucy was quiet, yet amazingly kind and caring. She didn't hate anyone, not fully, Izzy thought.
And the world snubbed her light out like a candle.
In one cold breath. So gather 'round piggies and kiss this goodbye...
Izzy went back to Alee and the two went up to the common room. They sat in silence, Alee picking at her nails and Izzy looking out of the window onto Jerry's Tree. The tree that had once caused such fascination, now one of the few things that remained the same about the school. The students had all changed. Some for better, like Jaz, who had suddenly become the leader she was born to be. Some for bad, like Sterling, who, whilst being a dick before, had gone mad with hatred, resulting in the mess that they were in now.
Funny how people can change so quickly.
Suddenly Izzy heard the door open.
Tyler came stumbling in, completely covered in blood, some fresh some dried.
Though not all his.
"Where's Andor?" Alee said in a choked voice.
She already knew the answer, even before they all looked to the ground.I'D ENCOURAGE YOUR SMILES, I EXPECT YOU WON'T CRY!
Alee screamed in utter despair. It was an unearthly cry of hopeless sorrow, and unlike anything Izzy had ever heard.
It was grief in its harshest form.
And all Izzy could do was try and comfort Alee the best she could.
Which achieved barely anything.
Like Lucy, this fighting had snubbed out Andor's light, and now there was just a gaping hole left there for everyone who knew him.
Especially Alee.Another contusion, my funeral jag...
Another hole. Another empty dorm.
When they put Alee to sleep Izzy went up to the dorm with her. With Alee's limp and unconscious body it almost looked like she was also dead. Luckily she wasn't. Neither of them were.
Though it had been close. For both of them.
It was almost their funerals, and that was terrifying to think about. Here's my resignation, I'll serve it in drag...
Izzy was done with the fighting. It had taken her boyfriend away from her (and caused them to break up), it had taken the life of plenty of innocent people, including sweet Andor. And it had taken the happiness of her friend as well.
Izzy had resigned herself to the fact that things would never be the same here again.Izzy left Alee in the dorm and went back down to the Dine-at-nite. She wasn't hungry, but she needed a distraction. Where once again she saw Vanessa lying on the floor.
You've got front row seats to the penitence ball...
Vanessa may have tried to kill her many times before, and almost succeeded on doing so, she may have bullied her for no apparent reason other than the fact she wore a different uniform, and she may have been an absolute bitch towards Izzy.
But she didn't deserve to die.
None of them deserved to die.
All this fighting and death, all because some higher beings couldn't get along.
Lives lost because of different opinions.
Vanessa may have been an okay person. True, she was a bully, but most Mianitees were really. It came with the colours; maybe the Mianitees didn't have a choice, maybe they couldn't help but feel intimidated by the Ianite-Dianite alliance.
Maybe the bullying and the mean attitude... Maybe that was their armour.WHEN I GROW UP I WANT TO BE NOTHING AT ALL!
"Izzy can I have a word?"
It was Dianite.I SAID YEAH!
"Okay sir, sure."
YEAH!
"Follow me."
I SAID YEAH!
Izzy followed him to his office.
YEAH!
C'MON, C'MON, C'MON I SAID..."Come in" he said, his face blank and expressionless. There was a faintly pained look in his eyes though.
SAVE! ME!
He offered her a seat, which Izzy accepted. As he sat down she saw a brief look of pain cross his face. But it disappeared just as quickly as it had come.
GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE!
"Izzy, there is something I need to tell you..."
SAVE! ME!
"... something you will find upsetting..."
TO YOUNG TO DIE AND MY DEAR!
"What is it, Dianite?"
YOU CAN'T!
"I don't know how to put this without being blunt..."
IF YOU CAN HEAR ME JUST WALK AWAY...
"I don't mind if its blunt. Just tell me what it is."
AND...
Dianite sighed, pain once again etched on his crimson face.
TAKE ME!
"Eddie is dead."
This really was The End, Izzy thought.
Extra brownie points and a gold star for anyone who knows what song that was!
