On the other hand, the witches had been planning how to obtain the second piece of the codex at Cloud Tower. Ever since their last attempt, the other schools had heightened their defences, making a break-in more challenging.

"This isn't going to be easy," Electra said, her gaze fixed on Cloud Tower from a distance.

"We're all aware of that," Scarlett sighed, her frustration palpable. "Master can't be any more patient with us. We need a plan, and we need it fast."

"And we can't just phase through the walls like before; we know we no longer have control over Cloud Tower," Tasma added. "The Head Witch has already cast protective charms around the school. It's useless."

"There has to be a weak link somewhere in the wards," Tasma chimed in, her brows furrowed in concentration. "The reality is that the most protected areas are often the places they expect us to intrude. We need to look for an overlooked spot."

Scarlett nodded, her mind racing with possibilities. "That's true. What about those lower-level tunnels? Nobody ever thinks about those places. That's why it was so convenient to keep Serenity hostage there for a long time—no one knew she was there."

"Exactly," Tasma agreed, her eyes sparkling with intrigue. "Those chambers could serve as a perfect entry point. They're likely forgotten by most."

Electra sighed but couldn't hide her smile. "I guess it's worth a shot. If we can navigate through those chambers, we might find the perfect way to infiltrate Cloud Tower."

Scarlett said. "Then it's settled! We'll be one step closer to retrieving the second piece of the codex."

"I can already taste victory," Tasma laughed as they vanished from the area. "The Cloud Tower codex will soon be ours."

The Next Day

The next day, a tense atmosphere hung over the fairies at Alphea. As they gathered in the common room, each of them admitted to feeling an unsettling sense of dread.

"Anyone else feel this weird sense of unease?" Carissa asked, looking around at the others.

Danielle nodded, frowning. "It's hard to describe, but I can't shake the feeling that something bad is on the horizon."

Luna crossed her arms. "Maybe we're just being paranoid."

"I still don't think we should take it lightly," Artemisia said as she watered her plants by the window.

"I agree with Artemisia," Crystal added. "Something just feels off today."

"Well, I'm with Luna," Lithia said. "What if we're all just overthinking things?"

Their pixies flew into the room, looking a little tired and wearing tiny sports gear.

"Hi, girls!" Fanfare giggled in her miniature hockey uniform.

"Hey, Fanfare," they all replied.

"How was pixie hockey?" Danielle asked.

"It was fun!" Violette replied, adjusting her little referee hat as she flew over to Danielle.

Fanfare did a triumphant mid-air spin, laughing. "And I was unstoppable!" She struck a tiny pose, clearly proud.

Pollen, still catching her breath but smiling, perched on Artemisia's shoulder and tugged at her mini hockey gloves. "But what's going on here? You all look... tense."

Artemisia exchanged a look with her pixie. "We're all feeling this strange unease, like something big is coming, but we just can't figure out what."

"Maybe it's just nerves?" Gladys suggested, though her own expression grew more serious as she looked around at the group.
