The following day, the fairies lounged in their dorm, enjoying some downtime, while the pixies busied themselves in another corner of the room, hosting a pretend fashion show.
"It was so thoughtful of the headmistress to give us a few days off from classes," Artemisia remarked as she leaned back against a pile of cushions, a contented smile on her face.
Luna nodded, brushing her hair absently. "We needed it. Last week was nonstop chaos, between classes and... everything else."
Crystal glanced toward the pixies, chuckling as Symphony twirled dramatically, with a piece of fabric tied around her neck like a scarf. "Looks like they're making the most of it too."
Danielle stretched her arms over her head, letting out a satisfied sigh. "A break like this is perfect, but knowing us, it won't be long before something stirs up the peace."
Lithia remarked. "You say that like you want an adventure."
"Of course I don't," Danielle said "But it seems to find us, doesn't it?"
The group's discussion was interrupted by the sudden arrival of Gladys, who flew over to them with a spark of excitement in her eyes. "Fairies! You have to see our runway look—it's so funny!"
The fairies exchanged amused glances before Luna stood. "All right, Gladys, let's see what you've got."
The pixies squealed in delight as their audience grew, and for the moment, the dorm was filled with laughter and playful chatter.

Later that day, the fairies headed into Magix to grab some lunch.
The streets of Magix were bustling with activity, as students from various schools strolled about, enjoying their free time. The fairies wandered past colourful shops and street vendors, soaking in the lively atmosphere.
"Where should we eat?" Luna asked, glancing around at the array of cafes and restaurants.
"How about that place with the outdoor seating?" Carissa suggested, pointing to a cosy-looking bistro adorned with potted flowers and fairy lights.
"That looks perfect," Artemisia agreed.
The group found a table under a canopy of twinkling lights and settled in. A cheerful waiter appeared moments later, handing out menus.
Once they placed their orders, they spent the time chatting about recent adventures, upcoming events, and amusing stories from their classes.
Their food arrived quickly, and the fairies savoured every bite, laughing and joking between mouthfuls.
"You know, just a few days ago, we barely escaped with our lives in some mysterious place," Carissa said, sipping her sparkling lemonade.
"Wow, Carissa, way to keep it light," Crystal teased with a chuckle.
Carissa shrugged, undeterred. "No, seriously. Think about it. So much has happened in such a short time. Our pixies were kidnapped, we had to travel to some unknown location, and we almost lost them—and our lives—to the witches. And let's not forget, we unlocked our Charmix, all within a short period of time."
The fairies exchanged puzzled looks, momentarily thrown by the reminder of their recent whirlwind of events.
"Well, that's one way to sum it up," Lithia said. Just then, a gust of wind swept through, depositing a flyer onto their table.
"What's that?" Danielle asked.
"Just some paper the wind brought in," Crystal replied as she picked up the flyer. Her eyes widened in surprise.
"What is it? Nothing bad, I hope?" Artemisia asked, a hint of concern in her voice.
Crystal shook her head, a grin spreading across her face. "Not at all! It's a flyer for a talent show happening here in Magix."
"A talent show?" the group echoed in unison, their curiosity piqued.
Crystal nodded, holding up the flyer for everyone to see. "It's happening at the Plaza this weekend, and there's even a cash prize!"
"You're not running low on money, are you?" Lithia asked.
Crystal gave her an unimpressed look. "What kind of logic is that, Lithia? Maybe I just thought it sounded like a lot of fun."
Danielle laughed, shaking her head. "Crystal's right. Not everything has to be about money. Sometimes, it's just about the experience."
"And the excitement of performing in front of a crowd," Artemisia added, her eyes lighting up.
"Assuming we decide to participate," Carissa said thoughtfully.
Crystal slammed her hand on the table, her excitement palpable. "I'm definitely going to participate!"
The fairies turned to her, surprised by the sudden declaration.
"You want to join in?" Danielle asked, raising an eyebrow.
Crystal nodded enthusiastically, her eyes shining. "Why not? I mean, it's a perfect chance to do something fun. Plus, I've got a few ideas that could stand out!"
"Okay, and we are all going to be your support system, cheering you on from the crowd." Artemisia grinned.
Danielle raised an eyebrow. "We'll definitely be there to cheer you on. But no pressure, okay?"
"Don't worry," Crystal said with a wink. "I've got this."
