Commander (Y/n) "Ranger" Schmitt - Gray Raven
1748 Hours

"No can do, sir." Bianca denied. "We've been given orders for Kamui's termination. He's our mission, sir."

(Y/n)'s eyes narrowed, his piercing gaze clashing against hers. "Like hell he is."

Every combatant — save for Kamui — got into a combat stance while making a perimeter around the Tank-type Construct, turning the scene into a Mexican standoff, both sides sizing each other off. Bianca and Watanabe, however, were the ones that looked at each other with killing intent.

"[Wait, Bianca.]" Chrome chimed in their radios, shattering the tension. Everyone got the transmission, with them waiting on what he wanted to say.

Bianca slowly lowers her bow. "...Are you here to plead for his mercy?"

"[Sort of.]" Chrome confirmed.

"Captain..." Kamui cooed.

"[Kamui... I know what you're planning. Give me more time. Just hold on.]" Chrome told him.

"I don't think there's anything that can change the outcome, Strike Hawk leader." Bianca said.

"[There is.]" Chrome opposed her notion. "[But this information is quite classified...]"

(Y/n) gestures his team to turn off their comms. They complied, and out of respect, Watanabe did as well. Karenina went in and shut hers off too, allowing Bianca, Chrome, and the Gray Raven's Commandant to listen to what the Strike Hawk leader wanted to propose. Upon hearing it, however, Bianca's slightly narrowed eyes showed the hesitation and disapproval she felt with the plan.

Bianca sighed. "That's nothing but a hypothesis..."

"[Yes, but the Ascendant's actions have proven its existence.]" Chrome elaborated further. "[It can help with Kamui's situation. I'll try to get the paperwork done.]"

Chrome cuts the call. Bianca signals Karenina to lower her weapon. (Y/n), sensing that they don't want to fight, did the same for his team.

Karenina followed her order, but not without having a say. "We have to follow the instructions, Bianca. This is asking for trouble. We might be disciplined for this!"

"I know." Bianca stated. "That's why I'm not fully giving him the pass... But as a leader, I know I'd do the same thing as Chrome."

"If Bianca gets infected, per se, and you are instructed to eliminate her, but you know that there's still a chance to save her..." (Y/n) spoke, catching Karenina's attention. "Are you willing to kill her, Karenina?"

Karenina grits her teeth, showcasing her hesitation to answer. "..."

"That's what I thought." (Y/n) said. "Following orders isn't always the right choice. You know that well. And besides, Kamui isn't technically a Corrupted. He still has his consciousness intact, and he hasn't shown any ill intent against us."
