Asslam
Commander (Y/n) "Ranger" Schmitt - Gray Raven
1235 Hours

Upon arriving back at the train, the Babylonian squad was greeted with loud cheering and clapping from the civilians. Changyu, Sophia, Aston, and Jamilah also joined in.

Once the cheering died down, Jamilah spoke, "Looks like it's all over. A spectacular battle indeed... Not just Miss Bianca's last shot, but it was spectacular how everyone handled the fight as well."

(Y/n) placed down the metal case where the M2 Browning and the Carl Gustaf are secured on the side. 'Oh, no. There's a catch, I'm sure.'

"May I propose a new trade?" Jamilah smiled. "We'll provide intel and resources enough to satisfy Babylonia, and in exchange, we get the Gray Ravens."

The Babylonian squad, except for the Ranger, were equally caught off-guard by the sudden proposal. Why would she want the Gray Ravens? To be her personal guard? To employ them as mercenaries? There are already a lot of possibilities on the table, and all of the Constructs looked at the one who can answer it - (Y/n).

'Knew it.' (Y/n) sighed. "That's not for me to decide, and I like my current job either. So no, we'll pass on that offer."

The civilians already expected this. After all, they are active military personnel whose sole mission is to exterminate the Corrupted and return the world to its former glory. Jamilah, however, wasn't ready to back down just yet.

"Are you doubting our ability in providing you with a satisfying offer?" Jamilah's expression darkened. "You'd do well to not underestimate the power of Akdilek. Perhaps we can go over over the details... privately?"

'Oh, hell nah.' Red flags immediately raised in his mind the moment she said "in private". There are tons of scenarios running in his head, and not even a single one of them are acceptable and are very suspicious.

"Our sincerest apologies, Princess Jamilah, but..." Liv interjects, going on (Y/n)'s side. "Our loyalty remains to Babylonia, and like Commandant Schmitt has said, we like our current job. We are soldiers of humanity, after all."

"Oh~?" Jamilah's smile widened, now that her authority had been challenged by someone outside of Akdilek.

Bianca cleared her throat to shift the attention. "I should mention that after expansion, Babylonia does have some extra residential spaces. The President does also have the intention to welcome you all in."

"No, that won't be necessary." Jamilah said, looking at her people. "There's a better place for us now, yes?"

"Yeah, we're all in this together!" A commoner replied.

"Yep, we all just agreed." Another one stated.

"By the way, where's Ashlar?" An aristocrat queried.

"Ah, who cares about him?" His fellow aristocrat dismissed. "He's been trying to sway us towards the Ascendants from the start. Maybe he's even gotten something off of them."
