1315 Hours

"Alright, there it is." After fighting her way through pockets of Heteromer groups, Ayla finally found a working communication terminal. She sets her weapon aside after making sure that her surroundings are clear before she proceeds to type in some codes. 'My hacking skills aren't that great but I did learn a thing or two... a little more... there.'

The screen showed the footage of Gray Ravens alongside Watanabe fending off a bunch of Heteromers on the outermost ring of the core, engaging in both close quarters combat and hit-and-run maneuvers. Ayla was impressed by their coordination as a team, but she doesn't have much time to watch them fight.

She pressed the communication button just as they took out the last of the Heteromer wave they were fighting earlier. She decides to watch them just a little more, observing the ring reassembling its broken parts to allow the team to pass, only to encounter three triangular pillars, making them stop to investigate. Lee went to check and interacted with it, causing the next ring to go down and level with the outermost ring. They went to the middle ring to find the next mechanism, but were blocked by walls and obelisks that were emitting light beams.

"Hello, Commandant Schmitt?" Ayla contacts them.

"[Identify.]" (Y/n) immediately responds to her call.

"Name's Ayla, 2nd Archeological Team." She said. "I'm the one who requested your assistance to find my friend. I managed to find her without much difficulty thanks to your team drawing the enemy's attention."

"[I see.]" (Y/n) replied. "[How is she?]"

"Selena... she's not in a good condition right now, but her systems — at least some of it — are still functional." Ayla described. "Let's talk about that later. I have some important information to share."

"[I'm all ears.]" (Y/n) said.

"Selena already had access to all the information within the database of the Space Station. She said some of them could be vital to you, as it's related to the design of these... er, rings." Ayla elaborated.

"[Right. We do need some guidance to get through.]" Lucia considers the offer.

"Okay... but Selena can't send the information directly to you given her current. I'll have to relay it to you." Ayla added. "Is that alright?"

"[We understand. Just keep us posted.]"

"Copy. I'm not sure what will happen if you mess up, but please listen to me very carefully."

"[Okay, the first message is... 'from two to one'.]" Ayla states the first clue. "[Do you have any ideas?]"

Lee placed a hand on his chin. "It seems to be related to these light beams... We can brute force it, but it's gonna take some time, and might trigger alerts."
