it was a quiet morning, the kind of day where everything seemed still and calm. you were sitting in the kitchen of your home, sipping on a cup of warm coffee, as the sunlight gently poured through the window.

it was peaceful, just the way you liked it. you could hear your brother, jisung, getting ready for practice upstairs, his footsteps heavy as he stomped around his room.

your family had always been close, even with the busy schedules that came with jisung's career. you didn't mind it too much though. you liked being by yourself, finding solace in the quiet moments.

"sis, hurry up! we're going to be late!" jisung's voice echoed from upstairs, snapping you out of your thoughts.

with a sigh, you set your cup down and grabbed your bag, ready to take your brother to the practice studio.

you weren't particularly excited about going, but you always liked to accompany him. it gave you a chance to be around jisung's friends, especially minho, who was often the one who caught your eye without you realizing it.

minho had always been a bit of an enigma to you. quiet, serious, and yet, there was a gentleness about him that you couldn't ignore.

it wasn't the loud energy that others often displayed, but rather the way he held himself with a sort of quiet confidence. when you first met him, you didn't think much of it, just another one of jisung's friends, but over time, you found yourself drawn to him. the way he smiled when he was focused, the way he laughed when he was with the group - there was something about him that made you want to know more.

you shook your head, trying to shake the thoughts away. "focus," you muttered to yourself as you grabbed your keys and made your way out the door.

the ride to the practice studio was mostly uneventful. jisung was going on about some new choreography they were working on, his voice filled with excitement. but your mind kept drifting to the thought of minho. you could only hope he wouldn't notice.

when you arrived at the studio, the group was already inside, preparing for the day's practice. the moment you stepped inside, you saw minho in the corner, stretching silently.

he didn't look up, but you could tell he was aware of your presence. jisung rushed off to greet the others, and you found yourself standing awkwardly near the door.

"hey," a familiar voice called out. you turned around to see minho walking towards you, his warm smile greeting you.

"hey, minho," you replied softly, your voice a little quieter than usual. you hadn't expected him to notice you at all, and yet, here he was, approaching you with that gentle expression.

"you look like you're lost in thought," minho observed, his eyes narrowing playfully.

you chuckled nervously, trying to hide the flush that crept up your neck. "just... thinking about stuff. you know, life."

he nodded, his eyes softening. "yeah, I get that. sometimes it's hard to switch off the brain."

you smiled, feeling a bit more at ease. it was always easy to talk to him, even if you didn't know exactly why. it was like he had this way of making you feel understood without needing to say much.

"so, what's on your mind today?" minho asked, looking over at the others who were preparing to start practice.

"nothing much," you said with a shrug. "just... getting used to the quiet, I guess. things have been busy lately."
