tonight, you two were excited to experience something special together-a meteor shower.

jeongin had planned everything meticulously. he'd heard about the meteor shower a few weeks ago and immediately knew it would be the perfect opportunity for a memorable date.

he texted you, asking you to save the evening for something magical, in his words. you agreed with excitement, curious about what he had planned.

as the sun began to set, jeongin picked you up from your house.

"hi," you greeted him with a beaming smile.

"are you ready for the surprise?" jeongin asked, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

you laughed softly, nodding. "i've been ready all day! you've kept me in suspense, innie."

he grinned and led you to his car. you two drove to a quiet spot just outside the city, a hilltop park that jeongin had discovered during one of his long walks.

it was a peaceful place, surrounded by trees and with a perfect view of the wide-open sky.

when you arrived, jeongin opened the trunk to reveal a picnic blanket, snacks, and a small thermos of hot chocolate. he had thought of everything.

you spread the blanket on the grass and sat down together, the sky already beginning to darken, the first stars visible.

you leaned your head on jeongin's shoulder, feeling the warmth of his presence. "this is beautiful, innie. thank you for bringing me here."

he looked down at you, his heart swelling with affection. "anything for you. i wanted tonight to be special."

as you talked, your conversation flowing easily, the sky grew darker and darker, until it was a deep indigo, dotted with stars.

jeongin pointed out a few constellations he knew, making you laugh with his attempts to explain the myths behind them.

finally, the first meteor streaked across the sky, a brief, dazzling line of light. you gasped, sitting up straight. "did you see that?"

he nodded, his smile wide. "i did. there should be more coming."

as if on cue, another meteor shot through the sky, then another. soon, the sky was alive with streaks of light, each one more breathtaking than the last. you watched in awe, your eyes reflecting the stars above.

jeongin couldn't take his eyes off you. the way you gazed up at the sky, completely captivated, made his heart race.

in that moment, he realized just how much you meant to him.

you turned to him, catching him staring, and smiled softly. "innie... thank you for this. it's perfect."

he reached out and gently took your hand, intertwining your fingers. "i'm glad you're here with me. i couldn't imagine watching this with anyone else."

you sat together, hand in hand, watching the meteor shower in comfortable silence. every now and then, you would point out a particularly bright one, and jeongin would squeeze your hand in response.

as the meteor shower began to wind down, the two of you lay back on the blanket, side by side, gazing up at the night sky. you rested your head on jeongin's chest, feeling his heartbeat beneath your ear. It was steady, calming, and you felt completely at peace.

"innie," you whispered softly, "i think tonight might be one of the best nights of my life."

he smiled, gently stroking your hair. "mine too. and i hope we have many more nights like this together."

you tilted your head up, meeting his gaze. "i'd like that."

jeongin leaned down and kissed you softly, the stars shining above you two, as if blessing your love.
