(Y/N)'s POV:

The days rolled by into weeks, and before I could even think it had been three weeks since I was discharged from the hospital. Since the attack at the arcade, since talking with Detective Tsukauchi, since reflecting on and reliving my past. So much has happened in such little time, it felt good to slow down.

For the first week after I got back to the dorms the teachers left me alone, in terms of training my quirk at least. I figured they thought it unwise to train after all the traumatic events. However, my new roommates with class 1-A surrounded and comforted me, making me settle in well into my new life.

My quirk flared up very little during that week. The security of my new friends made me feel safe, which kept my quirk at bay. It also helped that no one asked me questions about my past. I suspect they all fear my quirk after the flare-up the first day I arrived, which I don't blame them for. Seeing such power unleash itself in an uncontrollable way as it did is confronting, even to hero students who have seen a lot more than I have. But I've become numb to my own abilities. At least more than most.

After a week of relaxing and my friends going back to their normal routine, the teachers made some time for me to train my quirk. Despite their efforts though, they made little progress in understanding my ability and the extent of its power. So instead, we focused on exercise to help control my quirk, breathing and relaxation exercises mostly.

During one training session with Aizawa and Cementos, I was delighted to see the principal visit me. He trotted in quite casually, holding a briefcase that was so close to the floor it basically dragged across it.

"Principal Nezu, what can I do for you?" Aizawa asked.

"Oh nothing, I just wanted to check up on our little stray cat. If you don't mind being called that of course, (Y/N)."

I chuckled, slightly amused at the idea. "Not at all Principal Nezu."

He beamed a smile at me, ears twitching with delight. "Excellent!"

"I also came to offer you something, and I do hope you consider my request," he said as he pulled the brown, leather briefcase in front of his tiny body.

"As we are both aware, you were quite young when your life was thrown upside down, and you likely didn't get a proper education. So I thought I'd offer a way to assist with that." From the briefcase, he pulled out a pile of papers and handed them to me. I struggled to read some of the words, it all being in formal writing. But I clearly recognised the words at the top of the page.

"Enrolment Form."

"Wait... you want me to enroll in UA?" I asked, dumbfounded by the idea.

"Well of course! We're already giving you personal training. And you certainly meet our standards."

I looked down at the form still trying to process the principal's request. I'd given up on having an education years ago. The idea excited and scared me at the same time.

"Of course, the final discussion is up to you, and you don't have to join if you don't want to. Especially if you have no desire to become a hero. And we won't take away your current training if you do decline. But I thought it would be nice if you joined class 1-A as an official student!"

"Wha..." I paused, "what would I have to do?"

Nezu smiled. "Well, unfortunately, enrollment isn't as easy as signing a piece of paper. Although I believe you are fit for our school, the education department may need a little more convincing."

"I suggest we do some sort of assessment that will test your capability to be a hero. I still need to figure out the details, but if you accept, you will have to pass this test to enter the hero course."
