(Y/N) POV:

Droplets of water fell from gloomy clouds hanging above a rustic rural town, covering the small settlement in a light mist of rain. The taste in the air was damp, the scent of rain drifting through the fields of crops surrounding the town. The town's main road was lined with cracked and moss-covered stone walls that separated the asphalt from the long fields spanning far into the distance. The fields of rice and wheat surrounded a small collection of buildings made of wood and topped with high angled thatched roofs. Most of the townsfolk lived far apart from each other, situated in smaller buildings dotted through the field of crops. But there were few who lived in the town centre, where most of the population would gather as a community. Mainly either for drinking at the local bar or to buy goods after selling their crops for profit.

Approaching the town centre, having driven past the miles of fields for an endless amount of time, was a shiny black sedan of a model that the town hadn't seen in many years. The type of car that only the well off would have, not the humble farmer. Inside the car, sat in the back seat, (Y/N) rested his chin on his hand while his elbow lent on the car windowsill. It had been a long day's travel, for him at least. He had been traveling for the past three hours from UA High to reach this place. Somewhere he'd never seem, yet felt so familiar.

He knew for a fact he's never been here before, despite having little memory of his childhood. But he also knew that he was told about this place. This small humble town with no major importance. There may have been a pro hero or two from this place, but no one who wowed the world with extreme talent or a powerful quirk. Faint, distant memories came to mind. The kind of memory you feel you never had, or like it was a memory you didn't own. A memory with fog clouding your view so greatly it seemed impossible to navigate.

(Y/N) looked outside the car window, watching the fields pass as they drove at high speeds. Sat next to him in the back seat, was his teacher, Mr Aizawa. Although he wasn't officially his teacher yet, that was still to come. Currently he was more of a caregiver, someone to guide and protect (Y/N) when needed.

"What's on your mind, (Y/N)?" Mr Aizawa asked in a low voice, not attempting to make eye contact with (Y/N).

(Y/N) paused, releasing himself from the thoughtful meditation he had placed himself under. "This place," he started, "feels familiar. I'm not entirely sure why, but I feel like I've seen it before, at least pictures."

"Do you think you've been here before?"

"No," (Y/N) droned, "But I do think I was told about this place. There's something about it that feels," he paused again, trying to find the right word he was searching for. "Nostalgic," he eventually decided.

"It is very quaint here. Perhaps it makes you feel calm?"

"Perhaps."

The few days leading up to this had been hectic to say the least. For starters, getting beaten up by Mr Vlad, seemingly for his own entertainment, wasn't the most pleasant. (Y/N) could still feel the sores and bruises from the conflict. But after this, he was told how the school finally made contact with his Aunt, someone he had forgotten even existed in the chaos of his unpredictable life. Plans were made, discussions were had, and before he knew it (Y/N) was driving out into the middle of nowhere to visit her.

The school hoped they could discover some information about (Y/N)'s quirk; it was their only option besides blind tests and experimentation. The idea excited (Y/N), but the process? Not so much. He had tried for so long to bury the past, let it burn and never be found again. But destiny seems to have other plans. He knew if he wanted to tame his wild quirk that this was something he needed to go through. But seeing his Aunt? See her so many years later after his parents death and his own disappearance? Something told him this might cause him more problems then it would solve solutions.
