"Here we've got the creepy house. Plus a guy named Scarecrow. I can't imagine what he does. Wait he's the one that trys to figure out your worst fears right?" I ask into the headset. Waiting for either one of my 'partners' to respond.

'Yes he is. He uses his fear toxin to subdue his victim while he makes an escape. On some occasions he has overdosed his victims on it.' Bruce replies in his gruff voice.

"You know, that is just stupendous. I'm going stealth on this one. You can't hit what you can't see. Well maybe you can Batman." I chuckle as I make myself disappear. "Alright guys I'm going in." I tell them as I climb through one of the broken windows. Trying to avoid all of the broken glass.

The floor is surprisingly squeakless as I cross it to the door. Standing with my ear pressed to it I hear nothing. Exhaling I push the door open slowly and squeeze my way through it.

Using my super speed I make a lap around the house. Spotting a door that is closed tightly I carefully push the door open.

'Found him!' I shout in my head resisting doing a small victory dance.

Scarecrow sits hunched over his desk with his eyes closed. Exiting the room again I walk a ways down the hall.

"Hey can someone send some cops to transport Scarecrow." I whisper into the headset.

'They're outside right now. You've just got to get him out.' Bruce says after a few seconds.

Sounds easy enough. Lapping the house again I find some rope in a far room. Although pecuilar I run back to Scarecrow. Continuing in high speed I shove him from his desk. Jarring him from his sleep, but I am already tying him to his chair. Finishing I stand to look at my handiwork.

"Who are you!" He shouts struggling against his ties.

"Cheshire. Nice to meet you. Sorry to interrupt you during your sleep and all." I gesture to the chair. "But you knew breaking out of Arkham was a terrible idea." I tell him as I stand with my arms crossed before him.

"What are you going to do to me now?" He asks beginning to calm down.

"Well I have to take you outside to the police actually. And because you seem calm enough, I can untie you from that chair and you can walk out dignified. Or I can roll you out in this chair and pray it doesn't get caught and tip over. Your choice." I shrug.

"I will behave." He sighs as he drops his head. I mean he does seem like a good guy he just made some very bad decisions. But we're all humans it's what we do. Make terrible decisions and get second chances. Maybe he just needed a second chance.

"That's a relief." I say as I walk over and untie him. "So what got you interested in the crime industry?" I ask as I untie the last knot.

"Why are you being so kind?" He asks ignoring my question.

"Well I am being polite. You are a human being and deserve to be treated as such. Plus just because you have made some terrible decisions doesn't mean you are condemned. Maybe you just deserve a second chance." I explain to him as we walk through the house.

"Thank you. And to answer your question. I was a professor at first but phobias and fears entranced me. With their differences and how much they could affect a person. So I developed my fear toxins. And from there things got out of hand. I never wanted to be a killer. I wanted vengeance on those who wronged me. But never murder." He explained as he ran his hands through his hair. He reminds me of Bruce. A passion gone awry.

"Why didn't you become a psychologist? You could've learned about fears and observed them. But you could also help someone get over their fears as well." I suggest as we reach the door.

"A good idea. Maybe I will act on it one day." He nods with a small smile.

"I hope so. Maybe one day I'll come to visit. We can talk more then. Heck if you do well maybe you'll get out early on good behavior." I chuckle.

"It was a pleasure to meet you Cheshire." He grins reaching his hand out for a hand shake.

"The pleasure is mine." I tell him with a bright smile as I grasp his hand immediately and shake it.

Releasing my hand he opens the door leaving me in the doorway.

"Put your hands up and stay where you are!" The officer demands. With a scowl and a glance back at me he smirks and raises his hands. The officer comes over and handcuffs Scarecrow. He guides him to the car and reads him his rights.

"Hey where else do you guys need me?" I ask I to the headset as I see Scarecrow off. Waving as they pass by.

'Everyone that could be found was found. Meet back up at the rendezvous point.' Bruce orders.

Shapeshifting once again into an eagle I fly back to where we were before we split up. And as I flew I thought.

I like it here. There is always something to do. Someone to help. Scarecrow could do a complete three-sixty. Poison Ivy could learn to hate humans a lot less. This dimension seems right to me. But home is where the Avengers are. If we could get this portal to work would I ever be able to come back to this dimension, back to Dick? Only time can tell I suppose.

As I flew I began to recognize my surroundings. Spotting the building from earlier I land on it and glance into the alley. Seeing Bruce and Dick standing and talking. Reminding myself it isn't good to ease drop I do it anyways as I shift back.

"You know it is obvious you two have feelings for each other. What if this portal takes her and we can't get her back?" Bruce asks Dick as they lean against a wall.

"She wants to go back. To help in the war and I am not letting her go alone. If she is stuck on the other side of the portal I will be too. And that is a risk I am willing to take." Dick says nonchalantly.

"Are you sure of that?" Bruce asks.

"More sure than I have ever been. I don't know if I can go back to a life without her." He shrugs. Feeling a grin spread across my face I shout as I leap off of the building into the alley.

"What a rush!" I chuckle trying to play off the fact that I was eavesdropping. But it was nothing I didn't already know. I love Dick and he loves me.

"Did you just jump from that ledge?!" Dick shouts pointing at the ledge. Turning I realize it was a pretty big leap.

"Um. Yeah. It looks a lot worse from down here." I chuckle as I dust myself off.

"Do you have a death wish!" He shouts grasping my shoulders.

"No." I mutter knowing he hadn't been asking.

"Let's get her back to base before she decides it's fun to jump from Wayne Enterprises next." Bruce chuckles as we stand on the pad to transport us.

"It probably would be. But he won't let me." I say poking my tongue out at Dick.

Sighing he slings an arm around my shoulder. One can't help but to cuddle into him.
