Raiden 艾米's pov
I finished scrolling the phone and lay back down onto the bed.
"Tired?" Xiao asked, setting the tofu next to me.
"Yeah." I breathed, trying to ignore the fever and stuffed nose.
I took the spoon and the plate of almond tofu.
"Please rest and have this." Xiao offers me the tofu.
I heard a loud knock from outside my room.
"Y/N, can I come in?" Zandik asked worriedly.
"Sure." I replied.
"When was the last time you ate today?" Zandik asks, coming in with a plate of pasta.
"11am," I answered flatly after eating several pieces of tofu.
"Its been 8 fucking hours since you last ate!" Zandik exclaimed, and he then gently shoved the plate towards me.
"Guess I forgot to eat..." I replied and then dug in the pasta.
"Should've told us when you're hungry." Xiao mutters.
"Should've kept an eye on her..." sighs Zandik, he then placed a mini piece of an energon cube on the tofu plate.
Meanwhile
"Goodness, Aj, this was the third cup of tea you had today. I thought Y/N was crazy with the two Starbucks drinks..." Wrio muttered as he got out of his patrol car.
"Let's get you some real food." Says Tartaglia (Childe).
Aj nodded and followed the two.
"By the way, where's Raiden Y/N? Isn't she usually here to help you?" Childe askes.
"Raiden Investigator called in sick." Replied Wrio, "Zandik is currently at home with her, making sure she is well rested and not conducting investigations." Wrio adds with a chuckle.
Back at the house after a nice shower
"I feel my energy is drained." I began.
"The interviews and investigations can wait. Your health is most important." Zandik says gently.
"Guys, I think I'm sick." I replied as I collapsed onto the bed.
Zandik then carefully got onto the bed to check my temperature, "Unfortunately, yes. Despite your body having stopped aging, you are still half human, meaning you can still get sick like Wrio and Aj." He explains.
"But these guys are werewolves?" I laughed.
"Most immortals stop aging but aren't invincible, you could say." Zandik replies.
"How come you and Xiao don't get sick?" I asked.
"Adepti can't get sick." Xiao replies before Zandik can say anything.
"And I have a stronger immune system than you." Shrugged Zandik as he sat next to me before gently nuzzling me.
Xiao hopped onto his cloud, observing us silently.
"So how was everyone's day?" Xiao asked.
"Pretty good. The research is going well and lectures too." Smiled Zandik.
"Working then resting." I replied.
"We should take a break next week, just the three of us." Xiao suggested.
"Good idea." Replied Zandik, he glances at me, "What do you think?"
"Sure. I just realized that a friend told me this, but I heard the cherry blossoms have bloomed and we can go view and take some pictures." I suggested.
"We can go there when you feel better." Smiled Zandik.
"I'm fine with whatever." Xiao shrugs.
"So classic Raiden outfit or Wrio cosplay or cosplay of Xiao or me?" Zandik then teased what I would wear.
"I don't know, still deciding." I then gently flick his forehead.
"Ah." Zandik says, then cutely snuggles against me.
Xiao blinks, "Just worry about this tomorrow." He says.
"Okay." I replied.
"Also, try not to hurt yourself so much. Just because you are immortal and stopped aging like us, doesn't mean you're completely invincible; you can still get hungry, hurt, and feel some pain. While your cell regeneration is way beyond the average human, it doesn't mean instant recovery. Your body takes time to regenerate." Zandik explains.
"What he said." Xiao mumbles in agreement.
"I know that." I sighed.
Zandik gently got into the bed and cuddled me into his embrace. He warmed me gently with his body.
"Xiao, get some hot water." He suggests.
Xiao nodded and went to get some hot water and a towel.
The following week
Surrounded by a sea of flowers, the gentle spring breeze and warm sunlight can make people feel idle and content. We took our phones out and began posing together at the cherry blossoms.
