(SEBASTIAN'S POV)

I lay there on my bed, still thinking about yesterday's outburst when I heard a knock on my door. I got up expecting it to be one of my roommate Freddie's friends. The guy was an Ogre and hardly ever got up from his desk chair. I was certain, he wouldn't budge from his spot even if a meteorite fell directly on top of our school.

I opened the door, only to find Nate leaning against the door frame.

"What's up Bro?"

"Nothing. Come on in." I stepped back to let him in but he refused.

"I'm not here to laze around. I'm here to drug you off your lazy butts."

"And where are you taking me?"

"Someplace."

"Isn't that too vague of an answer? I'm not sure I can trust you Nate."

"You're saying you can't trust a homie?"

" I can't trust you because you're a homie."

"Valid point brother. Ah, but forget that. With all the drama going about lately, you've heardly caught a break. It's time you lossened up a little."

"You know how important th-"

"I know exactly how dire the situation is. But you don't have to take the responsibility for everything. There are other who will take care of it. Have some faith in our leaders will you? Besides if you don't relax a bit, you'll definitely face the consequences later. You aren't superman dude. Or er- super Vampire?" Nate looked serious about the offer. And he wasn't entirely wrong. I did need a break.

"I guess you're right." I sighed. I knew I had a duty to my people, and I couldn't go hanging out with friends when there was an upcoming battle. But what could I have done bu staying in my room, cooped up and restless? And then there's the matter with Madhulika, I can't keep running from the confrontation,  nor can I let her elude it any further.

"What are you waiting for man? Hurry up and put on your shoes." Nate tapped his foot impatiently. He reminded me of the time when we where young. I was always the quite one and Nate was always hyperactive and loud. I wonder how we ever became friends.

After putting on my shoes I followed Nate to the Lounge in the Boys Dorm. There, waiting for us were Anannya, Sneha and Blake. As soon as Blake spotted be he beamed brightly.

"There he is." Sneha had on a mischievous smile.

"Hi." Anannya said timidly. She seemed uncomfortable.  At first I though It was becuase she still feared my kind but no, there was something else worrying her, something I feared had to do with
me.

"So, Nate abducted you too?" I asked.

"Something like that." She smiled.

"Stop talking like I'm some kind of kidnapper." Nate grumbled. "If anything, it was Blake who had abducted me."

"That I can imagine" I smiled. Truly smiled. It's been a while since I'd done that? When was the last time I'd smiled? Ah, I remember,  it was looking at her admire books. She looked like she'd just found paradise. My smile got bigger.

"You perv." Blake Nudged. "What are you grinning for?"

"Not everyone has unholy thoughts like you two." I shook , you head. This got Sneha and Anannya to giggle.

"Anyway, what have you got planned for today Nate?" Sneha asked.

"Fun." That was his answer as he began to walk out.
