(JEREMY'S POV)
It's October end and the jacko'lanterns are out. The whole world is obsessing over Spiced Pumpkin lattes (and everything pumpkin, basically. Which by the way has no effect on us, so it's useless). And teenage girls around the globe are dreaming about their Vampire fantasies. It's kind of disturbing having to hear about how sexy a Vampire bite would be. Um, for all those curious ones, a bite would hurt...like hell but then the endorphins from the bite would kick in under a minute and you'll be fine and a little happy-go-lucky in under a minute. Not that I know though! We learnt about it in our mandatory Anatomy class.
"Hey Jeremy, what are you going as?" Nate asked me.
"I don't know yet. Maybe Hawk Eye." I shrugged.
"Are you talking about Comic Con? When is it? How did I not know about this!" Anannya exclaimed.
" Relax, comic con isn't there for next two months." I assure her.
"Whew! I though I got the dates wrong. But wait, if you guys are not going to Com Con, then why are you dressing up as the Hawk Eye Jeremy?" She asked, a bit perplexed.
"For Halloween." Nate answered, shocked that it hadn't occurred to Anannya yet.
"You guy...celebrate Halloween?" Asked a bewildered Anannya.
"Yeah, it's like..." Nate stopped to consider his words. "Like April's Fool for the Supernatural world. We get a kick out of following stupid human traditions."
"Like those silly pumpkins will stop me from devouring their children." Blake entered Nate's room (where we all sat), laughing. Sebastian stalked in after him.
"Stalker." We muttered as Blake settled down.
"Do you have any morals?" Anannya demanded.
"Nope." Was his answer. Realizing that talking about morals with that guy was trying to convince Lucifer to do one good deed a day. So we basically ignored him.
"Anyway, you really didn't notice all those Halloween dance posters?" Nate asked Anannya. "Wait- then what were you, Sneha and Anushka planning? You guys were going on about decorations and food and what not."
"Oh that?" Anannya smirked and then leaned closer to Sebastian's ear and mumbled something. Hearing whatever it was that she said Sebastian's face took on a shocked expression and then a stressed one.
"I had no idea." He whispered back. "What should I do?" He asked, panicked.
"It's okay, I'll help you out." She assured. This conversation had attracted the ears of some curious audience, namingly Nate and Blake. Nate attempted to slide in a littler closer but Anannya realised this and turned to give him a uninviting glance.
"What's all this about?" He asked suspiciously.
"Nothing really." Answered Seb, with made us even more curious.
But before curiosity got a chance to kill the cat, it got distracted by a knock on the door. (Anannya being curiosity and Nate and Blake being the cat, of course.)
"What's up guys?" The rest of the girls accompanied by Nicolas came in.
"We were just discussing...Halloween." I chose my words carefully. (I hoped)
"Oh that stupid festival." Nicolas rolled his eyes.
"Oh don't try to hide it. You enjoyed it as a kid, just like everyone else." Blake nudged.
Surprisingly, Nicolas didn't get irritated at Blake's remark. His expression was sober when he answered. "Yeah I used to. It's just mocking humans. But now that we've grown up, it seems petty." He shrugged.
"True. But hey Bro, this might be our last Halloween. Last time we'll carry out our tradition." Nate added.
"Yeah Nick. Tust this last time." I nodded.
"Fine." He shrugged.
"OMG." Sneha and Anushka looked at each other. "He has a heart! Who knew?" They giggled.
"Its extremely cold and tiny though." Anushka went on to add.
"Why of course it is. I'll remember to act my part as the horrible monster in our training sessions then." He growled. And that was the end of that conversation.
"Um anyway, we were talking about Halloween. I saw the posters." This from Madhulika.
"Oh yeah back to that. What's everyone going as?" I asked. "I might go as Hawk Eye."
"Maybe Katniss?" My sister shrugged.
"Almost half the population is going as Hunger Games characters." I noted.
"Ugh." She sighed.
"Wait hold up!" Balke exclaimed. "I've got an idea!"
"Oh no." The rest of us mentally screamed.
"Okay so, everyone write two costume ideas on a piece of paper and we'll put that in a bowl. Which ever costume you pick, you have to wear it. Or...." He glanced around invoking fear in us poor victims. "They be downed in gargoyle saliva on the day of the dance." He chuckled.
"Gross." We muttered.
"Ready?" He asked.
"Nope." We answered but the game began anyway.
