(SEBASTIAN'S POV)

If you have read the story so far, you must have noticed that things never go the way we want them to. Things are no different this time.

"Seb." Nick called. "We leave tomorrow evening right after school ends."

"Yeah everything is set."

(ANUSHKA'S POV)

"Stop the car right now!" I screamed at the crazed bastard driving like a mad-man.

"Would you rather walk home? Beacuse I have no intention of spending my time with a spoilt brat." Sir Nicolas bit back.

I am sure you are wondering how I had ended up in a car with Mr.Butthead, five hundred miles away from Brixton Acadmey. Well I am wondering about that too, actually.

"Where are we?" I asked finally.

"Earth." Nicolas replied irritably. I took the hint that conversation wasn't welcome at the moment. With him, it never was.

We had been driving for hours and I could not see a single house in sight. The pitch darkness outside did not help matters. I craned my head slightly outside the open window to get a better look. The wild breeze ruffled my hair, whipping it about. Figuring I could get nothing out of spoiling my hair, I settled back in my seat.

The rest of the ride was spent in silence. The sick bastard didn't even think to turn the radio on!

Slowly, large mansions came into my view. Each was surrounded by large hectares of land and at night they all looked like angry giants. I shivered a little, imagining all the horrific things from murder to soul- sucking. I should really stop listening to Anannya's stupid horror stories.

"We're here." Nicolas announced as we drove into the parking space of a Gothic mansion. Gargoyle statues sat on the dome as if keeping watch on the predators. The large stretches of grass were adorned by statues which I noticed were mocking popular Christian ideologies. And the door had a large wooden, ancient door nob with the face of a dragon.

Where the hell were we? Although it was a architectural beauty, it also happened to be dangerously sinister. Every cell in my body screamed at me to run. Then it hit me. According to Sebastian, the Medas Mansion had been in the family for centuries. It was a Fallen One nest and being an angle, me being here defied common logic. It was as if my entry had made the house restless. My own senses were shaken to the chore.

Nicolas rang the doorbell. Oh so there was one. I wasn't too sure if there was since they had that giant door nob.

"Welcome Young Master" we were greeted by a butler. On seeing him, Nicolas smiled for the first time in ages.

"Hello Cortez." Cortez was an old looking man but at the same time he looked agile and vigilant. His hair may have started to whiten but his stance was still that of a young solider.

"And madam...." His eyes bulged as he saw me but recovered quickly. "Please come in." I entered awkwardly, not knowing what to do.

"Please be seated." He gave a cut nodd before taking his leave. Soon after he returned with tea and snacks. He handed me my serving and I took a swing of the hot liquid contently. After spending time with that heartless idiot, I was beginning to fear my heart would freeze.

"Cortez, Anushka here will be our guest for the weekend. Please prepare the guest room immediately." I looked at him with, shock written all over my face.

It was a surprise, I was sure he was going to make me sleep outside on a branch or something.

"What?" He chided. "I'm not a monster." Follower of Satan sure; but a monster no. Interesting.

"Sir, Madam dinner will soon be served."

After that all conversation died down. My nerves on edge even after the hot tea. There was just too much Fallen Angle aura for me to bring myself to relax.

Us and them. I thought. Are so fundamentally different yet essential the same our ideologies and the color of our wings might differ but we were a single race. The same blood runs through us all. They were Angles too once. And they still have Angle blood running through them even if they deny it. Even if they think it is a curse, they have some part Angel in them. They used to dwell in the light and embrace it like a friend. But they have now adapted to bask in darkness .

What difference is there? The only thing I could think of was our ideologies and our morals. While morals were our code of conduct, for them such a word did not even exist.

We weren't like Hunter and Werewolves. They were made to detest each other. Each species was lethal for the other. We weren't. Unlike them, our touches wouldn't burn each other. Then why was it so wrong to get along? I was aware our differences in thinking was the biggest barrier but that was a problem for the elders. Why did Nicolas and I need to follow the same path?

"Madam?" I heard a faint sound but dismissed it.

"Anushka." A louder voiced beconed but it might have been my imagination.

"Anushka!" It was Nicolas' voice that snapped me back to reality. "Anushka are you okay?"

I nodded my head in a 'yes'.

"We can move to a hotel, you know?" He suggested. So he was aware of my unease. How unexpected. Yet sweet?

"I'll manage." I muttered.

"Alright then, wait here. I'll be back. I have to take care of some matters." And by 'matters' I am sure he was going to search for our attackers. That's why we were here. Or more like we were caused here.

Swiftly Nicolas departed and I left alone in the living room. A strange shiver ran down my back. I wasn't flattered by his company but right now I wished that he'd came back. I had an ominous feeling nagging at my skull.
