Chapter Thirty-Three

It was Valentine's Day and Lily and Hugo are eyeing their cousins with disdain while they're getting ready to go to Hogsmead Village.

"Lighten up" Roxanne said placing her arms on Lily and Hugo's shoulder amicably. "We're not going to Hogsmead either."

"Why?" Hugo asked

"Quidditch practice" Fred II answered. "Mum said it was a good idea seeing as there will be lesser people on school grounds. She said it will be good for Uncle Ron"

"Oh" Hugo said, his shoulders sagging.

''How 'bout you James? Are you going to Hogsmead today?" Lily asked her brother who was sitting lazily on the chair beside the fire.

"I don't know. Maybe" James answered, shrugging.

Fred II sniggered while Roxanne giggled.

"Wonder what Alice is doing right now?" Fred II said looking at James with a mocking grin on his face. James' face soured.

"She's probably accepted Bryan O' Donell's invitation" Roxanne said making James look sour even more. "She said he's been asking her out since third year"

"Are you three talking about Alice Longbottom? Professor Longbottom's daughter?" Lily asked.

"Why yes, Miss Lily" Fred II said in a mock surprise.

"You fancy her?" Lily exclaimed rounding on her brother. A look of triumph on her face.

"Shout it for the world to hear, why don't you" James said irritably. "And I do not fancy her. Please, she's practically a family."

"Wonder what Professor Longbottom would say?" Lily said acting as if she hasn't heard her brother.

"Shut it Lils" James said.

"James fancies Alice!, James fancies Alice!" Lily said continuously attracting the attention of those who are already in the common room.

"Shut it" James said clamping a hand on Lily's mouth.

"What are you doing?" asked Albus who has just climb down from his dormitory.

"Nothing, I'm trying to suffocate Lily" James said while Lily trashed. "Wanna join me?"

"No thanks!" Albus said bemusedly.

"You ready?" came Rose's voice from the stairs.

"Yes" Albus said. "We're heading down to Hogsmead, want to tag along?" he asked his cousins.

"Can't" Roxanne said "Quidditch practice"

"Can't" Hugo added "not allowed"

"We know that Hu" Rose said

"Mind if I tag along?" James said smiling sweetly at his brother and cousin.

"You're tagging along?" Rose said, her eyebrows rising.

"Yes" James answered.

"Are planning something?" Rose asked her eyes narrowing.

"Nothing" James said "I thought about taking a break. Besides the people here are so uptight they wouldn't see a joke even if it dance naked in front of them"he added. "People in our time are more fun" "So do you have a room for lonely, handsome and well-behaved James?" he added batting his eyelashes.

This made Hugo and Lily laugh.

"Sure" Albus said.

"What?" Rose said rounding on Albus.
