Chapter Twenty

It was an uneventful weekend for the kids though they are bursting with excitement at the prospect of being a part of Dumbledore's Army. They can't wait to be a part of the group who resisted Voldemort's regime even though they are mainly composed of teenagers.

"They're only against Umbridge this time though" Molly II said during their occasional meeting at the Room of Requirement.

It didn't come out as a shock to them though as they see Umbridge's first Educational Decree banning student organizations. Those who wish to re-form their teams and organization have to ask for Umbridge's permission.

"Someone must have blab about it" Ron said still rubbing his back. He and Harry have attempted to climb the girl's dormitory only to be thrown back by the stairs. Apparently, the founders of the school do not trust the men folk thereby not allowing them access to the girl's room.

 "They can't have" Hermione said.

"You're so naive" Ron said "Just because you're all honorable and trustworthy--"

"No Dad" Rose said behind Ron's back, making him jolt.

"Bloody hell Rosie" Ron said.

"Language Ron" Hermione said reproachfully.

"Sorry Dad" Rose said grinning. "An old habit."

"What you love making me jump?" Ron said incredulously.

"Err, I used to do that when I was a kid" Rose said "But that's beside the point, what I am saying is that nobody from the group has blabbed about the DA, mum made sure of it" she then smile at Hermione.

"Oh you know about it then?"

"Hang on, what are you two saying?" Harry asked.

"I put a charm on the paper that we sign" Hermione explained. "Believe me, if anyone's run off and told Umbridge, we'll know exactly who they are and they will really regret it." 

"What'll happen to them?" said Ron eagerly.

"Well, put it this way" said Hermione, "it'll make Eloise Midgeon's acne look like a couple of cute freckles. Come on, let's get down to breakfast and seeing what the others think... I wonder if this has been put at the rest of the houses"

The four of them went down to the Great Hall for breakfast. It was immediately apparent that the rest of the school has learned about the decree. Once they took their seats, Dean, Neville, Fred, George and Ginny ganged up on them.

"Did you see it?" George asked.

"Yeah" Harry said.

"But are we still going to do it?" Ginny asked eyeing Harry intently.

"Yeah" Harry said.

"Here comes Hannah and Ernie, and they don't have spots in their face" Ron said.

"Never mind their spots, they can't come here, people will think something's going on" Hermione said. "Sit down" she mouthed to Ernie "we'll talk to you later".

"I'll talk to Michael" Ginny said leaving the table.

Her seat was then taken by James, Fred II following in his wake.

"Morning all" James said cheerily "Lovely day, first decree and we still have lots to go" he said reaching for bacon.

"Eat up everyone, you need all the fuel you can get to make Umbridge's term miserable" Fred II added helping himself to toast.

Fred and George grinned at the two's antics while Ron watch them open mouthed.

"Ham, Wilkins?" James said offering Fred II a plate of ham.
