OH NO JAMES, YOU DIDN'T (Harry Potter Next Generation Time Travel Fan Fiction)

Chapter Nineteen

Harry and the rest of the kids from the future had been looking forward to the weekend trip into Hogsmead. Lily on the other hand has been surlier as the day for the trip drew nearer. 

"Lighten up Lils" James said breezily. "We'll bring you loads of Honeydukes sweets."

It was the night before the Hogsmead trip and the three Potter siblings are sitting in front of the common room fireplace. Both James and Albus are trying to cheer Lily up.

"And besides this is not the first time you and Hugo had been left in the castle while we go to Hogsmead" Albus butt in "Under third years are not allowed even in our time"

"But I wanted to be there when the DA is formed" Lily said half whining "I've been looking forward to it since summer"

"Don't worry, we'll write your name in the parchment Aunt Hermione charmed." James said. 

"What's up Lily?" Fred said as he and George sat beside their future nephews and niece. 

"I can't go to Hogsmead this weekend" Lily said. 

"Well, that's tough" George said. "But rules are rules" 

"But I wanted to be there for Dumbledore's Army's first meeting" Lily said. 

"Dumbledore's Army?" Fred said. 

"It's , uh, what you guys called your group. You know the one's Dad taught" Albus explained. 

"Hmmn.." George said rubbing his chin "Good name, who thought about that? Hermione?" he asked.

"Nope, mum" James answered. 

"Good one Gin" Fred said then turn to Lily "Don't worry my dear future niece, George and I'll bring you lots of Zonko products, you know, they make a decent joke stuff"

"I don't know about Zonko's." Lily said pursing her lips "I only know Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. They're the best"

"I like you" Fred said. "I like her George" he added looking at his twin. 

"Right you are Freddie" George said making Lily giggle. 

"Amazing!" James breathed. "You just talk Lily out of her foul moods." 

Fred and George just look at James. 

"You two are phenomenal" James continues revering his uncles. 

"Piece of cake"George said "want to see some cooler stuff?" he asked. 

"Yeah" James said standing up. 

"Follow us and we'll show you some of our new inventions" Fred said. 

"Hang on I'll just get Fred" James said. 

"I am here" Fred said making Lily giggle again. 

"No Uncle Fred, he means our cousin Fred" she said. 

"I'm only yanking your wand Lilykins" Fred said. 

"You do realize that's a ridiculous pun, don't you" Albus said. 

"Well, now that you mention it, it does sound pathetic" Fred said. 

"C'mon Jamesy follow us and we'll show you great stuff" George said. 

"Coming Al?" James asked. 

"No, I have an essay to finish" Albus answered. 

"All studies and no play, makes Albie a dull wizard" James teased. 

"Better than you, the quintessential troublemaker" Albus retorted. 

James left them and followed his uncles, while Lily and Albus finished their home works. 

The next day Hugo and Lily sat at the Gryffindor common room eyeing their cousins enviously as they prepare for the trip to Hogsmead.
