"So first big gig huh?" Ashari asked as he helped his son and his friends with their equipment. "Yeah. It's a block party but better than nothing." Mart replied, placing his guitar in the trunk of his dad's truck. "LOOK OUT! BASE DRUM ON THE LOSE!" A voice called. The two males turned to find a green base drum rolling towards them. Mart caught it easily. A dark-skinned girl with a black ponytail ran up to them. "Gracias, Thanks Mart." She said as she placed her drums in the back, then picked up the base drum. "Oh no. What's I do with my sticks?" She quickly questioned checking her bag, then pockets. Mart tapped her shoulder to get her attention, when she looked up, "Uh Ri." He said pointing to his brown hair. Riya reached up to her ponytail and pulled out her missing drum sticks. She grabbed them from her hair. "Thanks again Mart." She said. The said boy playfully knocked her in the shoulder. "Alright, you two in the truck now." Ash barked. The kids laughed and climbed in. A nervous Mart was fidgeting with his hands. "Hey you'll be great, Jonner, Gooti and I will be there onstage with you, all you gotta do is play your guitar and smile. You'll be fine." Riya soothed softly giving her best friend's hand a tight squeeze. The boy returned it. "Gracias Riya." He replied in Spanish, since Riya was Latina she liked to mix Spanish words in with English, the rest of the group liked to use a Spanish word once in a while too. Once they got to the venue the kids grabbed their gear and started walking to the main stage. Riya was humming a very familiar tune. "Nah nah nah. nah nah nah. nah nah nah. nah nah nah nah nah nah. nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah." Mart smiled. "You're humming scooby doo again." He alerted. Riya let out an "aw jinkies!" Quoting one of her favorite characters. "I never said you had to stop." He clarified. "We are planning on doing that song." He smiled. The rest of the group arrived, Gooti was already wearing her get up, a Daphne Minton inspired outfit, Jonner was wearing a shaggy Roger's outfit, Riya wore Velma, and Mart had Fred. They planned to dress up R3, as the famous pup. They grabbed the gear they needed, then set up an amazing performance.
