She awoke the next morning to Crystal cooing besides her. She wanted food. Venus pet the owl gently and went into the massive wardrobe the Malfoys had set up for her in the guest room. She looked over the items of clothing she had to choose from and pondered. Willow had convinced her that showing an appropriate amount of skin was appealing and fashionable, so she had succumbed to the trend. Her high neck cream sweater was tucked into a pair of high waisted shorts. Her thighs each had three buttons trailing up to her stomach. It looked like a more casual version of her school attire but she was comfortable. Despite the height of her black heeled boots, she threw on a simple long black blazer and some jewelry. If she could climb the millions of stairs the day before she could walk in these boots after all.
While she was not famous like Harry Potter, the young girl had her fair share of paparazzi when she went out, specifically when it was with the Malfoy's. Her mother, an auror and nurse, had made great medical discoveries, her father a ministry official, inventor and secret weapon, had been in the news multiple times. She had to make sure she was fashionable and well-presented to the media. Having a best friend who was interested in design and fashion also helped.
Double checking herself in the mirror before leaving her room, she smiled at herself and tucked a loose stand behind her ear.
Whistling lightly out the door, Crystal flapped her wings and perched on her shoulder elegantly.
Venus walked to one of the large drawing rooms where she sat in a velvet lined, dark wood chair stationed before a long table.
Narcissa Malfoy sat in front of her and smiled when she saw the young girl. She set down the paper she held in her hand and rolled it up.
"Good morning Dear, you look lovely! Very stylish!"
"Thank you Ma'am."
"Your owl really is so well trained. Poppy! Bring Venus breakfast! What will you have dear?" The woman yelled shrilly.
"Just some tea and a muffin please Poppy." She said to the house elf sweetly. Her large orb eyes stared at her with wonder at her kind words. Most house elves had never heard a "please" before.
The two ladies were promptly joined by Draco who had a classy button-up shirt and dress pants on. Classic.
He sat beside Venus and gave the two ladies a curt "Good Morning."
When they had finished eating, Narcissa Malfoy rose from her seat, and declared that it was time to go to the shops. Venus rose next, giving the blonde boy beside her a full view of her outfit.
"That's a lot of skin you're showing." He said, placing a hand over his eyes and averting his gaze. "Are you sure you want to go out like that?"
"It's a new trend Willow showed me. It's a little-" she tugged the fabric down to cover more of her upper thigh. "Odd, but most fashion is."
Draco grit his teeth at the sight of other men seeing that much of her legs.
"Very well."
"Leave the girl be Draco, it's in the trends now, let her enjoy her style."
"Yes mother."
Narcissa beckoned the girl to her side as the two ladies set off to the floo network room, the young man scurrying behind them.
"Oh Venus! Look dear, this color would be gorgeous on your skin tone! And what about the cut of that one, very flattering."
"Mrs. Malfoy this is a lot of clothes already..."
"Nonsense! You are a growing young woman who needs options! Oh! Look at those earrings! Those would go perfectly with your hair color darling!"
Venus sighed and dutifully shuffled alongside the woman. She had no issue buying the clothes herself as she did have a hefty savings account available to her. Not that the Malfoys were letting her pay for anything much.
