Venus sat in the courtyard speaking to Gabrielle, Fleur's younger sister about her studies. The girl had to run off to her next class, leaving the Ravenclaw to her books. Scrolls sat around her feet in the grass and her quill glided among her papers elegantly. She was in a plaid dress with a long sleeve black shirt underneath as a buffer between her and the breezing September air. Her tights kept the grass blades from skimming her skin and her brown shoes clacked together as she worked.

It was a busy day in the courtyard that day, many cliques had formed in the area and it seemed that she still was not popular among her peers, especially given as the Hogwart's ambassador now. Some of the students from their visiting schools for instance had taken it to accuse her of being responsible for the uneven champion match up. As if she'd make more work for herself through this whole ordeal in the first place, idiots. According to these haters, Venus with her powerful magic confounded the goblet to allow her friend Harry into the tournament then convinced the staff to let him compete. Little did they know she was EXTREMELY against having him compete and had consistently opposing his involvement.

Draco, Crabbe and Goyle walked onto the courtyard under the large oak tree of the pavilion. He spotted Venus on the ground and watched her work with a smirk.

"She's adorable."

Goyle sighed. "And she's mad at you man."

"Shut up Goyle, I know i messed up."

"So how are you going to fix it boss?" Crabbe asked gruffly. "You can't pine from afar forever."

"I'm figuring it out." He groaned back, staring at a pair of Durmstrang boys who were walking near Venus. He took out his wand and pointed it to the group of boys subtly chanting, "Verba eius Translate."

"That witch is to blame I swear it. She hexed the goblet to give her school a leg up."

"She probably slept with the staff to convince them to let Potter compete."

"Oh what if she slept with the headmaster!"

The group cackled. The Slytherin boy's face turned into rage and he went running to the group of boys.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT HER?!" He screamed pointing his wand in the boy's face. Crabbe and Goyle went running behind the blonde, at the ready for is the other boys in furs attacked. Venus turned at the commotion and started to gather her things to approach the issue. Normally with Draco involved, she'd steer away, but the involvement of the Durmstrang students merited her interference. Professor Moody was also in the vicinity, watching the moment unfold for what it was.

"Ah- ah wait, you understood me?" The boy said with an accent. "I didn't know you knew her I'm sorry."

Draco pulled his wand away as he saw the Ravenclaw girl approach them. "Let her name stay out of her mouth and the boy nodded. He and his friends turned to leave the Slytherins when Draco heard something else before his spell wore off. "Sorry she slept and ditched you for Filch."

Venus saw the anger on the blonde's face as he whipped around, fire in his eyes. The boy in red started to triumphantly walk away without a care when Draco drew his wand at him.

"Draco no!" She cried, running towards him to stop him from attacking the boy. Professor Moody drew his wand to protect the older boy and Venus leaped forward.

"Draco!" She cried pushing over the boy, away from the teacher's wand as she was hit by his spell. Venus looked around her, everything had gotten bigger. Large loafers now sat in front of her. Or had she gotten smaller?

Merlins pants!

She cursed, looking down at her snow white paw. She felt something soft brush up against her back. She had a tail.

Sweet Silvery Shits!

She was a ferret. Professor McGonagall entered the scene as Draco started yelling at Professor Moody to turn her back, ferret in his arms. The teacher started yelling back that it was cowardly to attack someone who has their back turned. Professor Moody ended up getting scolded by the Head Teacher and he waved his wand, turning Venus back into a human.

"Venus!"

"Ms.Snow, what happened?" McGonagall asked her. "I know you would never act unreasonably under such circumstances. Are you okay?"

"I didn't overhear the conversation but I know that he said something provocative to Draco." The ravenette explained, fixing her hair and pointing to the Durmstrang boy. "Crabbe, Goyle? What did he say?"

The two boys looked at each other and then to Draco, who sighed and nodded his head.

"He said that... that it was your fault Hogwarts had two champions, because you hexed the goblet and slept with the teachers to get Potter in the tournament and..." Goyle explained hesitant to continue.

"It's ok." She said, sensing where this was going.

"And he said that you slept with Draco only to dump him to sleep with Filch." Crabbe interjected, tired of the unnecessary tension between his friend and his crush.

Venus looked at the blonde with wide eyes, he was standing up for her.

"Well then, Mr. Furral, detention for a week." McGonagall said to the student, "And i will be informing professor Karkarov of your actions and how he should explain to his students Ms. Snow's role in this tournament." She walked away with him and Professor Moody.

"Are you alright?" Draco asked her, checking her health. "Why would you do that?!"

"You were protecting me, it's only right-"

"No Venus, never do that again, you didn't know what that spell was, it could've been dangerous."

"Better me then you!" She snapped. "Imagine that got out! People would be at each others throats! At least im one person to be mad at, not a whole student body!"

And with that she huffed away, picking up her strewn about books.

Draco caught her later in the Infirmary with Madame Pomfrey crying.

"I havn't done anything! I tried to get Harry out of it but when the Ministry says it's okay, it's hard to argue even on the basis of law!" She wailed as the older woman shushed her, rubbing her back. "I know deary. At least Mr. Malfoy believes you, isn't that good?"

Venus looked at her with glistening eyes. "He hates me! He thinks of me as nothing more than a familial social necessity!" She sobbed. It took all of Draco's willpower to not run to her now and calm her thoughts, but if he did the reaction would probably not be positive.
