The horse's had to get out for a little bit. Not just on the farm either. They needed a long ride. Stretch their legs, smell fresh air, and all that.

“Swear you remember?”Y/N asked as I adjusted Midnight's saddle. It's cliche, but she is pitch black. It just makes sense. Besides, hers is called Shell since he was so shy when he first got here. There's a plethora of name options.

“I swear. I just did this last spring,”I shrugged.

“If you say so,”She nodded, adjusting the plain white cowgirl hat she was wearing. She was really going for the full theme today, denim pants, boots, and all. The messy braid in her hair was the cherry on top of it all.

She climbed atop the hay right by her while still holding the rein. She pulled him closer before getting her foot over him. As she sat down and slid her food inside the stirrup, she sighed as she was finally satisfied.

When she looked over at me, I gave her an innocent smile before simply placing one foot where I needed and hopping up. Her expression instantly changed to a sour glare as she rolled her eyes.

“It's okay. The actual Bonnie was shorter than Clyde,”I pointed out.

“You're the worst.”

“You certainly say otherwise when lipstick is involved.”

“You're a prick.”

“Maybe. You call me pretty boy though so I think that outweighs the insult.”

“Screw you.”

“There's a joke in those words, but I’ll wait for you to say it. I know they're your category.”

“You're getting real bold over there,”She cautioned, looking me up and down before grabbing the reigns while fixing her posture, sitting straighter.

“You say that like it's a bad thing.”

“Well, all I know is you're going to lose that smug grin when the joke becomes an offer.”

“And you're going to sound real different when I accept it.”

“Wow. Look who gained the ability to flirt back,”She teased.

“That was foreshadowing. Not flirting,”I corrected.

“Oh, was it now?”She asked with a subtle smirk.

“I don't know. You tell me.”

“You know, if I didn't know any better, I would think you were the one with an offer now.”

“You're smart. I’m sure you have that all figured out.”

“I certainly have you all figured out.”

“That's pretty easy when you’ve got me stuck under your spell,”I pointed out.

“So now I’m the bewitcher?”She grinned, patting Shell’s side.

“To be fair, you were the real breaking point for flying across the country. That has to say something.”

“Well, you know what I’d like to say?”

“What?”

“Let's see how long you can keep up this time,”She said while her grip on the reins slightly tightened before she led him forward, leaning forward to keep herself in control. Picking up mine, I patted her side before tugging enough for her to do the same, making sure she went just a little faster to be right beside the other two. Looking over, she adjusted the small bag on her back before throwing me a wink. Not giving a chance to question her, she was already off, riding through the field that went on for miles.
