Sean reached over and tapped around his phone screen until his alarm went off. He sighed and faced the ceiling with a tired expression. Slowly, he slid off of his king sized bed and walked around to his large bathroom. He began his hygiene routine before he placed his suit onto his bed. He was a consistent black wearer and that wasn't going to change.

Quickly, he rushed out of his bedroom and headed into the kitchen. He came to a halt when he noticed the sink was filled with dishes. Sighing heavily, he ignored the mess and grabbed a coffee mug from the cupboard.

His ears perked up when he heard the sound of a door opening.

"Someone's finally awake. I heard your alarm go off like three times."

Sean looked back at his roommate James and chuckled. "You could've woke me up."

"I was kind of occupied," He said and nodded towards his bedroom door.

Sean shook his head and resumed making his coffee.

James and Sean had been roommates since they started college. They got along so well and became close during school, they decided to get their own luxury apartment. Sean didn't believe that it'd be financially responsible of him to get his own place fresh out of college. Having a roommate and saving was the best option for him.

Although James and Sean were the best of friends, there were times where they didn't get along. It was solely because of how messy he was. Oftentimes, he left things around the house, but he knew how much of a clean freak Sean was.

"It looks like you had a good time last night."

James smirked and walked over to the sink to wash the dishes. Sean mixed his coffee and took a sip of it. His eyes widened in astonishment when he saw James' door open and a woman walked out in jean shorts and a bra. She held her overnight bag over her shoulder and her shirt in her hand. Her light brown hair was pulled into a high ponytail.

Sean choked on his coffee causing James to snicker under his breath.

"Holy shit!" The woman yelled. She placed her shirt over her chest, her face flushed from embarrassment.

"You're good, babe." James waved her off.

"I'm so sorry." She shook her head and glared at James.

Sean shook his head and waved her off. "You're good."

James dried his hands and followed the woman to the door.

"It's too damn early for this."

"Sorry about that!" James called out as he walked back into the kitchen. He laughed at the sight of Sean's visibly uncomfortable face.

"I keep telling you, Sean. You gotta get some play in. That's why you're so grumpy, bro."

Sean scoffed with disbelief. He didn't believe that he was grumpy, he just didn't have the time to play around. Not only did he have a pretty demanding job, but he had a lot going on. He had goals that he wanted to accomplish and didn't want anyone or anything getting in the way of that. There were a lot of times where he did have fun and took breaks, but his fun wasn't quite the same as James' type of fun. James loved to party and drink. He loved having a great time and not remembering much the next day.
