Sean could feel Yazmin's eyes stare intensely at him every few minutes. She'd been apologizing constantly since they left her house and there wasn't much more she could say. Sena clenched his jaw to stop himself from releasing groans from the agonizing burning sensation that came from his bottom lip and nose.

The pair sat in silence between them with the sound of music playing from the bluetooth at a low volume. Yazmin looked away from him and looked out of the window in distress. She placed her hands between her thighs and leaned her head back onto the headrest.

Sean turned into the driveway of his house and parked close to the garage door. The pair got out of the car and walked onto the porch. Sean's heart began to beat quickly as they stepped into the house and he locked the door behind him. He knew how his parents would react when they saw his face and they weren't going to take things lightly. He just hoped that Yazmin didn't have to experience the wrath from them because of her father's doing.

"Sean?" Jennifer yelled out from the living room. "You're home early."

She disbursed from the living room with a dark green face mask on her face. She waddled over to the entrance of the house due to her toenails being wet with red nail polish. Suddenly, Jennifer stopped in her tracks with her eyes wide.

"What happened to your face?"

On her heels, she sped over to her youngest son and grabbed his face without hesitation. Sean flinched and turned his head away from her.

"Mom."

"Answer me. What happened to your face?" She looked over at Yazmin as she stared back at her meekly.

"What happened to him?" She turned around and called her husband.

"My father hit him.."

"What?" Jennifer yelled. "Allen! Oh my God! I can't even move my face."

"I'm coming."

Allen made his way down the stairs and rushed over to his son with Jared in tow.

"Who did that to you?"

"Nyla's father."

"Excuse me?"

Jared pushed past them and analyzed his little brother's face. He held his chin and looked at him closely.

"He fucked him up pretty bad."

"When I get my hands on that man I swear I'm gonna kill him," Allen ranted loudly. He stormed off back up the stairs yelling incoherently.

Allen was livid and he was going to do something about what he'd seen, one way or another.

"I'm so sorry," Yazmin said softly.

"It's not your fault, babe," Jennifer said.

Sean felt a sudden embarrassment as he felt everyone watching him. "I just wanna go clean up."
