Yazmin rubbed her eyes as she sat up in her bed. She looked around and looked down at herself in astonishment. There she was lying in her bed with her prom dress on. Then she remembered that she hadn't changed out of her dress, because she was so disappointed with how the night played out. It certainly didn't play out in her favour.
After the boring night filled with obnoxious teenagers pretending to be something that they weren't, she had to kindly let her prom date down. Josh believed that his night would end with a reward for bringing her to prom. He thought wrong.
It didn't make it any better that she didn't have any of her actual friends around to have fun with. Sitting with Penny the entire night was like sitting still while someone placed needles into your eyes.
Overall, she had a terrible time.
She couldn't stop thinking about Sean, and how much fun they had together on prom night before things took a turn for the worst.
Sluggishly, Yazmin got out of her bed and made her way into her bathroom. As she turned on the light and looked into the mirror, she jumped at the sight of herself. Her makeup was smeared all over herself, especially her eye makeup. Her fake eyelashes were barely on her eyelids, and her mascara was smeared below her eyes, causing her to look almost like a raccoon.
Yazmin gasped and rested her hands against her face. Quickly, she cleansed the makeup off and filled her tub next to her shower with warm water. Her excitement built up within her when she watched the water rise with bubbles. Slowly, she slipped off her dress and stepped into the water. The water burned her a bit and then began to relax her muscles.
All of her worries and chaotic thoughts disappeared once she relaxed into the water. Yazmin slowly closed her eyes and leaned into the tub. Her relaxing time was cut short by the smell of bacon. Her eyes shot open when she heard her stomach growled loudly. Quickly, she cleansed herself in her shower and got dressed.
Her eyebrows furrowed with confusion as she watched a plethora of people swiftly walk around her with notebooks, trays and phones in hand.
