Chapter 4

(Katie's POV)

"We should go to the park once dad gets home." Halley says looking up at me, I smile and nod, she snuggles into me and I rub her back.

"Mommy!" Cole yells, I laugh and pat Halley to get up, she frowns once I get up to walk into Coles room.

"Yes baby?" I ask in a low voice because he's supposed to be napping, he sits up and pats the spot next to him.

"Yes?" I ask once I am seated beside him, he puts his hand in mine and kisses my cheek.

"I've seen daddy do that before, I just wanted to try it." He smiles still holding onto my hand, I laugh and look down at him.

"You're so cute." I smile shaking my head, he smiles widely and I kiss his cheek.

"Aww." He coos, I laugh and he leans on my shoulder and we sit there for a minute.

"We're going to the park with daddy and Halley after he gets home, you need to sleep." I tell him as I stand up, he gets a bright look on his face and a wide smile.

"Daddy can teach me how to play football too!" He says excitedly, I nod and start to say something.

"I definitely can buddy." Hayes says from the door, I smile and Cole runs to him, he picks him up and hugs him tightly.

"So you're okay with going to the park?" I ask him, he nods and puts Cole down.

"Go find Halley and tell her to get ready while mommy and I talk." Hayes tells Cole, he nods and runs out.

"So? What's there to talk about?" I ask stepping towards him, he smiles widely and picks me up into a hug.

"Nash quit and he's moving back to California." He says with happiness in his voice, I laugh and he kisses me.

"So our apartment is Nash clear and we don't have anymore problems, I don't have to work as much and we can spend some more time with the kids together." He says putting me down, I clap happily and loop my arms around his neck.

"Now we can be normal again." I sigh smiling, he smiles lightly and kisses me softly.

"You make me so happy." He smiles into the kiss, I smile pulling away and lean into him, he wraps his arms around me securely and kisses my head over and over.

"I'm gonna go get ready, make sure the kids are ready when I'm done." I say walking out of the room teasingly, he laughs and follows me out and into our room.

"Well I just got home from work so I need a shower, you joining me?" He asks me locking our room door, I smirk and he takes off his tie.

"You ready?" I ask Hayes once I see he's dressed as well, he nods and I walk out and into the living room seeing Halley and Cole cuddled next to each other on the couch and watching Spongebob.

"Kids it's time to go." I smile patting their heads, Cole jumps up and runs to Hayes while Halley turns off the tv and gets up slowly.

"Were you sleeping?" I ask laughing lightly, she nods as we head out of the door I see Dean coming this way, Hayes notices me eyeing him and I keep walking taking my eyes away from him, we all crowd in the elevator with a guy who's hair looks familiar, before you ask he's looking down at his phone so I can't see his face but his hairstyle and color look very familiar I just can't put my finger on it, this guy doesn't look up the whole time and parts ways with us at the elevator quickly, I scrunch my nose and watch him as he gets into the penthouse elevator, we walk out and get in the car parked in front of the building, we are chauffeured to the park and all get out of the car.
