Chapter 28

(Katie's POV)

Once we get to the house everyone is there, we stopped a few places just for fun and got the kids some stuff, we walk inside and the house is huge, stairs are in the middle of the foyer, the kitchen is a walk in with a ton of space, the living room is cute and cozy, and all of the bedrooms are scattered everywhere.

"We'll get your bags, just guide us to your rooms." Matthew says with Carter and Shawn next to him, we nod and go upstairs, Madi takes the one with the child's bed in it because of Emily, I search through and see everyone's stuff in their rooms, I see Hayes unpacking and I walk to Matthews room.

"My room?" Matthew chuckles smirking, I turn and laugh.

"It's spacious." I shrug and smile, he laughs and hugs me after sitting my bags down.

"Well you're welcome to come and go." He smiles letting go and I nod, I begin to unpack my things into one of the dressers that Matthew isn't using.

"No ones going to be upset about your sleep over right?" He asks me and I give him a look.

"Of course there is." I nod and he laughs shaking his head.

"Are you and Hayes fighting?" He asks me and I squint my eyebrows at him.

"Why would we fight?" I ask him and he shrugs and chuckles.

"He seemed mad in the car when you jumped out and ran off, as well as the secret on the plane, that's for me, you, and Carter to know." He smiles and I smile finishing my clothes.

"So the bed situation?" He says looking at it, I look and see the cute, royal bed frame, decorated with a beachy bed set.

"Well, it looks like a queen size, so my side your side deal will work." I shrug and he nods slowly.

"Well, I'm famished so, gonna go eat." I smile and he nods, I walk downstairs after removing my flip flops and pulling my hair into a bun.

"Hey hey." Cameron and Andrea smile once I get in the kitchen, I nod and look at them, Andrea is half asleep on Cameron and Cameron is slowly closing his eyes.

"Are you guys tired?" I ask them sarcastically and Cameron flips me off.

"Okay." I nod and he smiles, Maggie comes in and starts digging through the cabinets.

"There's like no food here." She says throwing the chips she found onto the counter.

"Oh, didn't see you standing there." She smiles at Cameron, seeing how she's in a t-shirt, and only a tiny pair of shorts, I'm sure she did.

"We're gonna go upstairs now." Andrea says and Cameron follows her looking back at Maggie and I.

"Too bad he is with Andrea." I turn to her smiling and she laughs facing me.

"You don't know the half of it, so don't butt in." She says looking me up and down, I roll my eyes and turn away.

"Hey want to go to dinner with me?" Madi say coming in and I nod.

"Does anyone else want to go?" I ask her and she shakes her head quickly with wide eyes.

"I would love to!" Maggie squeaks and I roll my eyes and smile at her.

"Yay!" I exclaim and she runs upstairs.

"Can't we just leave her?" Madi asks and I laugh.

"No, we're mature adults, we can handle it like we are." I tell her and she whines.

"I heard we're all going out to dinner?" Hayes says coming in the door looking at me, I shrug and walk past him.

"What's her problem?" He asks Madi as I walk out, I walk past Carter and he stops me.

"Are we going to dinner or something?" He asks me and I nod.

"Wow." I hear Hayes say, I shrug and walk upstairs, I go into Coles room and see him sleeping.

"Cole, wake up." I say getting on my knees to shake him awake.

"What?" He asks and I smile.

"We're going out to eat, do you want to go?" I ask him and he shakes his head.

"Okay, I'll find someone to watch you." I nod, he nods and I kiss his forehead, I exit his room and run into Taylor.

"Oh hey, are you going to dinner with us?" I ask her and she shakes her head slowly.

"I don't think Nash is feeling well, so we're going to stay in." She nods and I nod.

"Can you guys take care of Cole? If it isn't too much trouble?" I ask her and she nods quickly.

"Of course anything for you!" She smiles and I hug her.

"Thank you, I'm going to go ahead and get dressed, thank you again though." I smile, she nods and I walk to Matthew and I's room, he's in his pajama pants standing at the tv when I do.

"Hey are you coming to dinner?" I ask him and he looks at me.

"Uh yeah. I guess." He shrugs, I nod and go into the closet with some shorts and a cute neck wrap tank top, I put those on and some sandals.

"Cute." Matthew smiles when I come out, I see he's dressed and I smile shaking my head and blushing obviously.
