Chapter 5

(Katie's POV)

"Good morning." I wake up hearing Hayes' voice, I smile opening my eyes and he's laying there over me.

"You smell good." I sigh into his chest, he laughs and puts his hand on my waist and brings my body closer to his.

"It feels so great to have you in my arms in the morning and not a stack of papers for Nash." He tells me looking into my eyes, I smile and kiss his chin, he brings me back when I pull away and makes me kiss him, I smile and grab his hand that is cupping my face and take it down to my hips placing it there.

"You know me so well, Dallas." He smirks squeezing my thigh with his other hand, I nod and snuggle into him.

"It's been too long since we've done this." I sigh smiling up at him, he nods and props himself up on his elbow.

"You're always gone first thing in the morning, so I can't do this." I smile straddling his waist and leaning down on him and placing my lips on his.

"Mmm, sucks that I still have to go to work today." He says rubbing my body up and down, I nod and fall next to him again.

"I hate it when you leave." I sigh looking up at him, he sighs getting up and walking into the closet, he comes back out with his suit pants on and his shirt.

"Tie it." He says handing me his tie, I laugh and walk on my knees over to him, I loop it around his neck and tighten it tightly.

"Good god, you're trying to choke me." He says loosening it, I laugh falling back as he climbs on top of me.

"You have to go to work silly." I say as he starts to take off my shorts, he looks down at me with a smirk and chuckles.

"But you don't."

I pick up the dirty clothes around the apartment and the toys, I sigh putting them in the toy box and in the hamper.

"I'm here bitch!" Madison yells coming in the door, I laugh and walk to the kitchen starting to clean it.

"Ew, you're cleaning." She says with disgust in her voice, I nod looking around and noticing the kitchen is not really dirty.

"Well this is the last thing I have to do, then we can go to the mall finally, where's your kids?" I ask cleaning up the counters.

"With Cameron, and yours?" She asks me with a smile.

"With their nanny downstairs." I say nodding and putting the dishes in the dishwasher.

"Yay! We're kid free and mall ready." She says excitedly, I laugh and nod.

"Very mall ready, let me go get dressed, you can go ahead and go to the car." I say nodding, I go to my bedroom and change into cleaner clothes and put my hair in a ponytail, I open the front door and see Dean standing there.

"Shit it's Monday." I mutter under my breath, he laughs and nods.

"Why have you forgotten me?" He asks with a slight whimper making me roll my eyes in anger and disgust.

"Yeah I was in bed with my boyfriend, whom I have two kids with." I say telling him for the fortieth time.

"I love kids." He says with a shuddering smile, I roll my eyes and try to push past him until he grab my wrist tightly.

"Ow Dean, you're hurting me, stop." I say struggling to pull my hand away, he slams me against the wall and starts to kiss me.

"Stop." I cry as he begins sucking on my neck hurting me, I hear someone start running down the hall and tackles Dean to the ground, I fall and bury my face in my knees while the stranger beats Deans face in, I look up and see out of my blurry eyes that it's the familiar guy, but this time he's facing me making me see his face partially, he puts his hand out for me to grab and I take it, he kisses my forehead and pulls away.

"M-" I start to say but he takes off into the elevator quickly, I stand in shock at the whole experience.

"Katie? Woah." Madison says coming off of the other elevator and spotting Dean on the ground.

"Did you? How did? Woah." She says very confused, I look at her and she notices the tears in my eyes.

"It wasn't me, it was some guy and he left and I don't even know who he is." I say shaking my head, she gives me a look and shakes her head.

"Let's just leave him here and go I mean we've been waiting to go to the mall for months now, just us, let's go." She says getting into the elevator, I nod and step in walking away from the scene, we go downstairs and get in the car the entire time I think of him, his dirty blonde hair, his golden jawline, his chocolate eyes, I can't believe it. Was it really him or was I hallucinating?

"Kay? Are you alright?" Madison asks looking between the road and me, I nod playing it off and look back out the window still trying to figure out if I imagined him, once we get to the mall I get a few things and Madison gets a ton, I wasn't really in the mood for shopping none the less being without Hayes, I feel so unprotected right now and not having Hayes makes it worse.

"Are you feeling alright? You look a little pale." Madison says as we sit down in the cafeteria, I start eating my food and Madison slowly eats hers while watching me.

"So what exactly happened earlier? Did Dean do something to you?" She asks me, I almost vomit at the mention of his name and she takes notice.

"I don't want to talk about it, not here not anywhere." I say shaking my head and continuing to eat, she nods and we both finish eating until we're ready to leave, she drops me off at the building and says goodbye to me, I look around as I'm walking in and see the security guards they don't even help, I get in the elevator and scare myself in by my reflection, I shake it off and someone gets in the elevator at the third floor, I feel uneasy so I get off on the next floor and quickly go up the stairs, I eventually reach my floor and step out aware of my surroundings, I see no one making the hall even creepier than usual, I slowly walk to the condo doors and insert my key, walking in I hear Spongebob on and see Halley and Cole leaning on Hayes as they're all asleep, I smile and lock the door before walking over to them.

"Hey." I whisper lowly awaking Hayes, he smiles when he sees me and picks up Halley, I pick up Cole and we separate putting them in their rooms, we both go into ours and get dressed and ready for bed, we get under the covers and I make him cuddle me into his arms worriedly.

"Are you okay? You don't seem okay." He says sounding worried about me, I nod and kiss him before falling asleep.
