Chapter 12

(Katie's POV)

"Woah, what?" I ask confused and Madison nods showing me the phone, I grab it and my jaw drops.

"Katie-" Cameron starts to say and I shake my head feeling a tear slip out of my eye.

"No, this can't be true." I say looking up at them, they both sigh and I stand up breathing heavily.

"Oh my god. I can't breathe." I say feeling dizzy, I run to the bathroom and lean over the toilet throwing up, Madison follows me in here and lifts my hair out of my face as I throw up.

"Why? Why would he do this? I've done nothing to him ever." I say shaking my head and Madison laughs.

"I mean, he was in the hospital that one time-" She starts to say and I shush her.

"Not counting that." I say shaking my head smiling and then looking back down into realization.

"I can't believe he's cheating on me." I sigh and throw my head back onto the wall and start to sob.

"Kay, please don't cry." Cameron says coming to the door, as I'm crying he picks me up by my hand and cuddles me into his chest.

"How could he do this? We have two children, why? Why would he?" I cry shaking my head as Cameron rubs my back.

"He's not worth crying over." He says trying to soothe me and I laugh shaking my head.

"That's where you're wrong, he's all I've had these past five years, and by all you know what I mean, he's the only guy that will show me affection like I need it, I need Hayes." I say falling back into Cameron.

"Well what are you going to do about all of this?" Madison asks me standing up to me and Cameron.

"Well I don't want to be here when gets home, I can't take that right now." I say shaking my head, they both nod and follow me to my room, I start throwing a couple of outfits into a bag, shoes, my charger, my makeup, everything I'll need for a few days.

"Where are you going to go? I mean you're welcome at our house of course but you don't want to." Cameron says shaking his head, I nod and shake my head.

"No, thanks, but no. I don't know, but I'll text you guys when I find a place." I say nodding and slipping on my vans.

"I love you baby sis." Cameron says hugging me and rubbing my back, I smile and he kisses my forehead.

"Love you girl, and be careful please." Madison says hugging me and rubbing my shoulders, I nod and step out leaving them in the house, I sigh getting on the elevator and it stops as a hand slips in, Matthew of course.

"Come stay at my place, don't be alone." He says with a sympathetic look, I hesitate greatly but end up following him to his penthouse.

"You can sleep in the guest room of course, that is unless you want my king bed, I could sleep on the couch." He says pointing to everywhere, I shrug and laugh.

"I don't really care." I say with a sigh, he helps me with my stuff and grabs me.

"Aye, don't be upset, these things happen." He says looking into my eyes and I close my eyes.

"I just can't believe it." I say shaking my head, I would ask how he knows but obviously I don't care right now, all I want to do is sleep.

"I'm just gonna sleep." I say laying down across his couch, he laughs and squats next to me rubbing my shoulder.

"I'm sorry." He mumbles running his thumb over my cheek, I close my eyes and turn my head going to sleep.

I wake up and see Matthew asleep on the floor next to me and I sit up, I sigh rubbing my eyes and patting over my hair, I walk to the front door and slip on my shoes, I walk to the elevator and press the number for my floor.

"Where is she?" I hear Hayes yell all the way down the hall, I roll my eyes and knock on the door, the room goes silent and someone unlocks the door.

"Katie?" Madison asks stepping behind the door and I see Hayes standing at the back of the couch.

"I hate you!" I scream running at him and I feel Cameron lift me up.

"I fucking hate you! You bastard! I've done nothing to deserve this, I hate you!" I scream beginning to cry and he starts to tear up.

"Katie I didn-" He starts to say but I cut him off.

"I don't want you talking to me! Cameron put me down!" I scream kicking and punching him.

"Fine, but Hayes run." He says placing me on the ground, Hayes runs to the bedroom and slams the door, I walk in there and close the door locking it.

"Katie, just hear me out." I hear his voice but can't make out where it's coming from.

"I don't want to." I say checking everywhere, I look under the bed and see him.

"Why'd you do this Hayes?" I ask collapsing to the floor and he sighs.

"I, I don't even know." He says pissing me off once again, I try to grab him and he slides out.

"We have two kids! What the fuck have you done!" I scream starting to cry and I see the look of shame on his face.

"I don't know what I was doing Katie, I'm a total idiot, you can hate me, but please don't leave me." He says and I sigh thinking about what I'm going to do after this.

"I don't even know what I'm going to do, the kids, the house, they're going to be so confused." I say shaking my head and putting it in my hands and sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Mommy?" Coles voice ask from the door, I sigh and fake smile seeing Halley also standing behind him.

"Are you guys fighting?" She asks and I glance at Hayes and he grabs Cole.

"No, just a small argument, nothing big. But hey you guys are here, makes me a lot happier." I smile hugging her, she nods and hugs me back, Cole comes to me and hugs onto me while Halley hugs Hayes.

"Hey, is everything gonna be cool? We have to get home to the kids." Madison says referring to Cameron and her, I look at Hayes and look back nodding.

"Let me walk you out." I say to Madison, she nods and I follow her out and to Cameron.

"Nothing's fine, I'm not staying here tonight, I don't want the kids to get curious so just tell them I'm at your house if they call and ask." I say nodding, they nod and Madison hugs me.

"I'll give you guys a minute." She says nodding and walking out closing the door.

"Thanks though, for not letting me kill him." I say nodding, he smiles and kisses my forehead.

"Don't do anything you'll regret, and please before you go, tell me where you're staying." He says and I think.

"No, but I'll tell you I'm gonna be perfectly safe, I know this person will never let me get hurt, so don't worry." I tell him, he nods and hugs me and says 'love you' before leaving.

"Hayes." I sigh walking in the room, I see he's laying down next to Halley and Cole in bed, I kiss Coles forehead and Halley's, then it comes to Hayes.

"I love you." I mumble letting a tear slip, he sighs and I see a tear fall from his eye as well.

"I love you more." I hear him mumble, I close the door and slide down it crying my eyes out, I sit there and sit there until I see its four in the morning, I walk to the front door and lock it while I shut myself out, I take the elevator back to Matthews and knock on the door.

"You had me worried." He says answering the door, I laugh and he notices my messy state.

"What happened?" He asks me, I sigh and I start to tell him everything.
